I love the dramatic black and white conclusions some people manage to come to when it gets to squeaky bum time. Fact is Benteke has only scored 2 all season and since Roy has come in we've done pretty well despite this.

We have 30 points from 26 games under Roy - keep that rate going for the rest of the season that gets us 6 more points.

11 of those 26 games however were against the 'Big 6' teams, who we have struggled to get results against (just 4 points from 11 games under Roy). Considering none of our remaining games are against the big 6, I looked at our points per game under Roy against the rest.

We have 26 of our 30 points in just 17 of games against the rest of the league under Roy, which works out as just over 1.5 points per game - that rate would get us 9 more points this season and see us stay up comfortably.

Benteke scoring would obviously help but we've shown we can get results without him.

No just realistic

Our draw with Bournemouth was yet another frustrating result. But good results yesterday, overall.

Tottenham managed to grab all 3 points against Stoke.

West Brom's draw with Swansea did neither side any favours.

Brighton's draw with Huddersfield was bad news for Huddersfield given that they finish with three tough fixtures.

If Arsenal beat Southampton, preferably by a hatful today then we will have the upper hand on all of the bottom five on goal difference which is surely worth another point.

That's the worst, having no control relying on others results.

Not quite there yet hoping we can still do it without that.
