i predict 2019 will be a surprising crash. Knocking a ton off the values.

1989 to 1997 was a clusterf...ck.

This one will not be half as bad - and maybe houses will become affordable for twenty-somethings again.

Fancy a bet for charity? Loser gives tenner to the winner’s charity. I need a new one for next year as my one with Tux on litecoin is up at the end of this year.

Choose your metric to define “a surprising crash” and let’s go!

i know a bloke in SE19 who paid 430 k for a place just before the Brexit vote, and today the flats are selling for 100k less than that. We have had nearly 20 years of growth and homes are looking unaffordable even for well paid professional couples on two salaries.

follow the link below. From Q3 1989 TO 12 months later it is down 7%. Half of that is 3.5% ....but all depending on a strong Sterling.

Weak housing market or weak sterling.....something's got to give.

I disagree, so let’s have a bet! What would define a “surprising crash” for you next year. Say, average UK house proves to drop by x%

I would concur...I agree they will drop...but 'surprising' NO, 'crash' NO...the market will simply cost (and has been doing so for the last 15months) the 'potential' effects of Brexit into the mix.

PV...what's your def of a 'surprise' and 'crash' and I may also have a tenner on it

So we'll ignore the financial problems that currently plague the globe and continually concentrate on what amounts to a 'blip' in the grand scheme of things?

Blinkered thinking at best.
