Me too. Ok it might be great if they had another few hundred million quid behind them but they risked what he had not so long ago and has got us probably further than they or most would have thought possible. Everything they have been doing are in the clubs best interest and it’s been a steep learning curve so some things were always going to go awry. Would love to know the posters who have issues with owners are they newish fans or just have short memories? Been a fan for quite a while. Being in the prem is precious and should be protected as much as is sensibly possible. We got here not really by building from above if you remember and may not return if we go down. Having 1 striker and then possibly signing one who may or may not be enough to see us through and having 2 keepers for the whole season, oops now just the 1, isn't sensibly protecting the delicate and precious premier league status. And don't tell me we didn't have money for a striker in August or a keeper in January as back up to Guaita when he does come, IF we survive.

Come on, that's said as endearing. He is a bit of a tit, but then aren't we all? Whomsoever denies they're at least a bit of a tit, is definitely a proper tit IMHO. Yeah I was just joking as well. I thought Jordan was a massive cringeworthy t1t but I've recently heard him talk on things other than football and my opinion has mellowed a lot.

Jordan is the bigger tit undoubtably, but of the two i'd far rather a bevvy with him. Reckon he'd be a right good laugh, and be gloriously indiscreet i reckon.

Then comes the expensive furnishings for your newly acquired mansion of which there are only so many also, plus your close neighbors are after the exact same thing as you and are doing their level best to gazump you at every point.

It is way, way too late to "still be learning" how to run transfers at a premier league club, and how to manage squad depth properly. Parish can run the non football side of the club until he is old as far as I am concerned; that would be excellent actually. That is what he is good at. He aint no football man, though, guv. This isn't about money, its about ego, and being incredibly stubborn. There is no excuse at all for not signing a striker in the last window (Benteke gets injured right away) and not signing a goalie in the last (lo and behold Jules goes down immediately after the window). There is no excuse to continually leaving important transfers until the very end of the window - meanwhile games get played and points go begging potentially. There is no excuse for getting the FDB situation so horrendously wrong, after taking 2 weeks too long. There is no excuse for not firing Holloway and Pardew sooner, Holloway had to beg to be fired. The Pardew situation was an absolute joke. No excuse for bringing in Warnock. No excuse for lack of full back depth to replace Souare and challenge Ward in days gone by. The list is endless. Too many howlers, too many shocking mistakes and errors, and they just keep coming. FDB was his biggest foul up of all time and he just did that. He should be way beyond errors of that spectacular magnitude at this stage of the game. I would like Parish to recognize the fact the he is not cut out to run transfers, appoint managers, and man-manage managers. He is very poor in these areas. One day its going to cost us. Why do you think he needs to excuse himself? Yes things keep getting messed up but jeez get real, show me a club that hasn't had the same. I used to think Southampton but look at them now. Seriously, why club do you aspire to be? Parrot

Another predictable thread questioning Parish after a defeat. Since the Premier started up, we have had 4 Chairman. Noades, who knew his way round football, but ultimately stitched the club up, buy selling the team and not the ground. This stifled any possibility of progression, unless he got his cut. Goldberg, well meaning, more cash than football knowledge, he lost all his money to football sharks and led us into administration. Jordan, ego driven, no experience in football and thought he could change the system. Lied over owning the ground, coined the phrase " couldn't get the deal over the line". Couldn't progress the club and ultimately led to near extinction at the High Court and he employed Trevor Francis and Peter Taylor and ruined my Saturday afternoons watching the garbage they got the team playing. Parish, got us to the Premier after 3 seasons and remained there since. Has been honest in his dealings, bought the ground so therefore got us a proper club, not tenants. You can take your choice of who you think has done the better job of being Chairman, they all made mistakes, but some more devastating than others. Edited by Painter (12 Feb 2018 8.45pm) If we were asking who was the better chairman, then your statement would be relevant. Point is, is Parish taking us forward? Right now, you could argue that no, he isn't. Therefor is he the man to take us forward?

Parrot Sadly SP has reached a level of incompetence and whilst he may be a good businessman he is not a good PL chairman, he lacks the knowledge and skills to be able to get deals over the, he does not learn from his mistakes which means he already made a second mistake and that is exacerbated each time he goes repeating mistakes. Please also remember he pays himself a salary of 700K per year so fans have a right to expect and demand better!

Yes they saved the club for the fans but not at anything like the risk that everyone seems to claim

Yes they saved the club for the fans but not at anything like the risk that everyone seems to claim Sounds so simple. But what if we didn’t go up, which for prudence they could never have assumed would have happened, certainly so quickly. They would have had to bankroll the club’s annual losses. I think buying a football club is about as bigger risk to personal wealth as you can get. How many outside the money bags league regularly return a profit?

We have been in the prem for 5 years?! He has stated on record he doesn’t get paid and if he does so f***ing what. I reckon Jordan Mitch gets paid more and I think SP has contributed a bit more to Palace.
