Well the lads have recovered well from the psychological damage of Frank and 7 games 7 defeats and zero points.
And was it zero goals.?
We can be the only Fanbase going, that have discussions like this.!!
Rather than being reasonably confident.

Indeed - But that was early in the season with a lot of time left to turn our fortunes around.
Enter the 'Bottom 3' at the business end of the season on the back of poor results is somewhat different.

We need to get the points required to stay up ourselves, something we've not done as well as we might have in the last couple of games, and not rely on the failure of others around us. I think Willo has come in for a rather unfair savaging for what are as equally valid points as the relentless optimism that I personally find quite wearing in itself.

Agreed. There is plenty to be cheerful, and also plenty to be worried about.

I, for one, am worried about the resurgence of Swansea, which has rather shaken my belief that we are definitely going to stay up. But it doesn't seem reasonable to submit to relegation with a third of the season to go, just because the next six games feature four games against the top six either.

Agreed,so as long as we are out of it on May 13th,we will get a record 6th Season.
If we aren’t you will be correct.
Have a nice day.

The past 4 seasons leap to mind when before a ball was kicked you predicted we'd go down.

I really don't recall being so pessimistic in pre-seasons.
But in general terms, in previous seasons pundits have had us down as going down !!!!

In actual fact during our torrid run at the beginning of the season a supporter who lives in my vicinity was quite adamant that we would be "Relegated by Christmas" and I dismissed this view out of hand as not only is this not possible I felt that there was sufficient time to turn around our fortunes.I must say I wasn't over-optimistic that we would survive but I hadn't quite reached the depths of doom and gloom !

Can we agree that we might go down, but we also might stay up.

I know we shouldn't rely on other teams, but I'm hoping Burnley do us a few favours. Seven of their last 12 games are against sides in the bottom half - Swansea, Southampton, West Ham, West Brom, Watford, Stoke and Brighton.

I sincerely hope it doesn't go down to the last day for us, but if it does at least some of the teams that are likely to be towards the wrong end have tough fixtures - Huddersfield host Arsenal (3 points for Huddersfield then), Brighton are at Liverpool, Watford are at Man U, Newcastle are at home to Chelsea and Saints host Man City.

Brinscall Eagle Flag Brinscall Lancashire/ Villamartin ... 05 Feb 18 2.19pm

My observations over seasons is that come the last three or four games teams at the top end that know they have either established that they will be in Europe or that they will not get there , their performances drop off . If they come up against teams at the bottom end they usually end up getting beaten by the team fighting for survival. We have got a run comming up against the top teams when they are still fighting for positions which will be a lot tougher than some of our relegation competitors who will come up against them when they are less concerned about winning.
We are above the drop zone and only us can keep us there.COYP

Apart from City it is still pretty tight at the top end and it may well be that the teams currently placed between second and sixth will still have much to play for at the back end of the season (lot of unexpected results recently and maybe more to come?).
