We didn't have the right person to identify and appraise players; he got someone in; we signed three prospective players who should turn out good if Freedman's track record is anything to go by. But what we are doing at the sharp end of the transfer market has been pathetic. He needs to delegate that part also to someone who is demonstrably good at it.

The one upside to this is now we'll be under no pressure to sell anyone this summer when there's a lot of dealing to do. Benteke or Townsend or someone or both may have to go in the summer to rebuild and it probably won't be with Adamou. Let's hope in this division because we're still very vulnerable to 1 or 2 injuries.

Unless you’ve ignored all the genuine press reporting this window, you should be aware that the club have been working on deals for weeks only to be screwed over by the sellers. It’s well documented that, at our end of the market, it’s a last minute bun fight unless you’re looking at relatively unknowns from overseas or willing to pay silly money. Lille have stuffed us on Amadou, Getafe on Guaita & it seems the Ronnow deal is in jeopardy as a replacement hasn’t been found by Brondby. We’ve now got three confirmed signings and there might just be another Luka amongst them.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

So tell me. Who do you want to sell the club to? Yawn. Its so boring to see this kind of comment time and time again. No one is allowed to criticize Parish without a "who would you bring in then" question. Parish is fine running the non football side of the club but is an absolute joke and laughing stock at running the football side. He should either put the club up for sale lock stock (then you get your answer of "who should come in then" ) or he needs to look in the mirror once and for all and see he is not the man to make the calls on managers and transfers, he should be nowhere near them. I would rather have Mark Bright, Freedman, or any other of Parish's old guard Palace boy's club run the football side with no interference from Parish whatsoever. There is not a single other PL chairman who would have not signed both a goalie and a striker in the LAST window. Niasse fell apart last minute, no one knows why, but what I do know is when you leave things to the last minute you have no plan B! And here we go again! Parish will never, ever learn from his mistakes and will never ever be the right man to lead the football side of this club. Edited by Maine Eagle (01 Feb 2018 12.11am)

Bit disappointed with the window but looking about clubs around us haven’t done anything enviable. Maybe Sturridge if he stays fit but we couldn’t have loaned him so whatever. We are Palace not Man City

It's sad but have to agree, another very poor window for us, it may well cost us dear. How is it poor, CB, Midfielder and Striker signed, just because you don’t know who they are. I guess you are influenced by the media with a thirst for big money signings.

Better than Southampton. The only player they have signed in the 'Window' has been striker Guido Carrillo for £19 Mill. This supplements their strike force of Austin,Gabbiadini and Long.Bit more than what we have !

We are Palace not Man City Wow, what a surprise, someone selling something and trying to get a good deal. When you have 2 keepers that the manager doesn't believe in (let alone 3) you go out and sign a keeper - thats the last window I am talking about. If Parish has presided over another transfer window where we have failed to sign a keeper, it will be the biggest mistake I have seen since the Goldberg days. How are we making the same mistake again? I literally cannot believe it.
