If it's the loan route it would probably be to get around FFP with an agreement to buy in the summer, thereby freeing up funds for other dealings. The updates on Sky Sports have started to become a bit tedious though, with them stating "sources" and then adding nothing new from what they've said days or even weeks ago. I'm sure they used to be more reliable?

I am assuming that the various ‘rumours’ about strikers (Eder, Ulloa Dembele etc) indicate we are also looking for attacking reinforcements

I think we are trying to bring in replacements now rather then summer if these stories are true which is a very good idea from the club if that is the case giving the new players time to get used to the league and bed in to start strong next season. A fair few will be cleared out in summer so we don't really want to have to go chasing after 8+ players splitting the load would be better option for a club like us who are not the best in the market.
