Which squads are worse than ours out of interest? I looked at our bench and Leicester's yesterday and thought 'there's a bit of a gap here between us and them' - and then of course we win.

Any team that have 3 of their best players missing is going to have a weakened bench. Didn't think ours looked tat bad considering...

Hopefully the OP is including himself as a judge when he says 'We're not very good'.

I believe we are a lot better than some holers give us credit for,the player's that have been slagged off lately among them Kelly,Schlupp,Sako have done us proud so they obviously come on the Hol,read people's comments and hey presto show the moaners what they can do.Well done those players.

The point is to play as a team and to believe in the philosophy of the manager - credit to Roy, the players look like a real team now

There are tentative signs that Roy's management is improving the quality of the squad. We've covered well for the loss of Luka and Sakho. If he plays Sako up top on Saturday and he performs, then much credit must go to Hodgson.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

You would have to say after the first 60 minutes versus Watford, some of that slagging off was justified. Then we go and win against a team that very rarely gives away points at home. Now we'll probably struggle to get a nil all draw versus Swansea and everything will be back to normal again.

Zaha has some green grass in front of him here. Finds Ambrose
not a bad effort ooooooooooh! what a goal by Darren Ambrose absolutely stunning strike!!! And, Crystal Palace lead @ Old Trafford.

It appears on this thread that most of you posters are as fickle as me. A few weeks ago I felt we were doomed. Just not good enough to make the cut.
Suddenly after our performance at Leicester, Im thinking we could even end the season in the top 11.
To be fair to us all, the way we played at Leicester was totally unexpected.
I watched Everton beat Swansea the other night and at Leicester we were a different class to them.
IF.....and its a big 'if' that I really want to believe, we continue to perform like that then we for sure are safe.
Keep it up Palace.

I'm right here mate.

I appreciate that we've won a few games now and there is nobody happier than me that that is the case.

However, the results against Watford (very lucky) and Leicester (honestly, I'm worried they just had an off-day, although I have to admit I was travelling for work and wasn't able to watch the game) aside, we still dropped points against Bournemouth, which was a very winnable game.

I still stand by my OP, the squad as a whole is not good enough and suffers from chronic lack of quality investments. Roy is working wonders to keep us competitive but as others on this thread have said, we are 2 injuries away from another crisis.

Who replaces Zaha if he's injured? Sako? Just because he's scored a couple doesn't change the fact that he isn't PL quality.

I still think Benteke is wasteful, as evidenced in the Leicester highlights, he probably should have scored 4 goals and eventually walked away with just 1. But if he gets injured again, or suspended, we have no backup.

Do you not think we are better than at least 3 teams in this division? Not withstanding any lack of depth in the squad. If Stoke lost Shaqiri and Allen for instance they'd be even worse than they are now. Same for most sides in bottom 14.
