I like to thin he can redeem himself.

We all make mistakes.

At his best, he was good enough to persuade experts in the game that he is worth £30 mill.

So he must have something.

We can bring that out.

Of he is given the chance to earn respect, I reckon we could seew a great player emerge.

He must have been hungry once. Woy needs to make him hungry again. I don't think he'll ever be short of money, but Woy need to make him desperate to earn respect and approval.

It depends what sort of personality he's got.

(Either that, or he could be insured heavily and then a terrible car accident could happen)

Let's not write him off yet, I think he has massive potential.

Oh he fxxked up and will feel it as painfully if not more so than us or his team mates. He is a striker, strikers by definition justify their existence by scoring goals. He feels this keenly which is precisely why he grabbed the ball and insisted on taking the spot kick. if he believed he'd fail so monumentally badly he wouldn't have been so insistent. It was only when foot struck the ball so sickeningly ineptly didthe shocking truth punch him hard in the stomach. His form as a striker, a getter of goals had vanished with the aloofness of a posh bint having been taken on a date the 'Cats Whiskers' Streatham,(ask your granddad kids.) So what is to be done? Best we say nothing on the terraces cos reminding him of shameful fail will lead to yet more embarrassed ineptitude.

No he wont, he just doesnt care enough, all he cares about is the cash.....why would he care, hes just an employee not a fan! As long as he gets his 120k each and every week hes happy....he walked off the pitch grinning all over his face..he knows if we get relegated he'll be off to another 100k a week contract....hope we sell him in january and get two strikers who want to play and score!!

Could redeem himself and perhaps keep us up if he plays like a monster for the rest of the season.

I think it's more likely he'll do f*** all though.

A terrible mistake - YES, but let us forgive him - show the generosity that could bring back self confidence and goals.

Sorry but he has to be punished for this even if it hurts us on Tuesday. Some things are more important than points.

Mind you! Its no worse than Pardew subbing Macca for Campbell when we were 1-1 versus united etc etc

Benteke now owes us a huge debt...one he is perfectly capable of repaying if he works himself back into top form.

Disagree it was 100% Bentekes fault . As soon as he insisted he was taking it he would have put extra pressure on Luka if he then insisted he was taking it . From going up to confidently smash the ball in the net he would be thinking about a row with a team mate seconds earlier .In fact Benteke has now put extra pressure on any future penalty's we may get by his selfish action .

As for his future at Palace I think it will be as a bench warmer at best .If it wasn't for the huge amount of money we paid for him and the fact we have little option if we want to play a CF he wouldn't be getting a game. Not only is he lazy but appears to be unable to kick the ball with any purpose, dosen't get into the right positions and even his heading has become weak . Nobody is going to pay what we did for him so I guess unless the management are prepared to take a big hit on selling him we will just have to suffer until his contract runs out .

I expect us to have someone lined up to sign on 1st January so we dont have to put up with his useless perfomances anymore.

Of course he could also proove me wrong

Lads, I am still absolutely fuming over that penalty. He should be ashamed of himself for what he's done.

In my opinion before that peno he was close to being our man of the match. I thought he had a great game.

There is no way in hell Roy will lollipop him on Tuesday as he has no one to replace him with. I just pray to god he gets an easy early chance and scores because if he misses his first chance the abuse is going to start and it will be downhill from there.

It is good we have a game so soon, so hopefully we can but this debacle behind us.

I’m ready to be shot down, but he does not deserve any further criticism.

Yes....he made the wrong decision...yes....we are all livid...

....I thought he played very well and was dominant in the air. Perhaps he thought the goal would help really get his season underway.

We all make mistakes....I hope he gets his chance on Tuesday to prove a point and score a hatrick.

Fine him and see how he responds next game. Play for the shirt and maybe we can forgive but man, it doesn't look good for him. Still f***ing fuming.
