Just rewatched the highlights on sky and was interested to see Milo rip into Benteke when Zaha whipped a ball across the goalline (the one that went all the way through).

Agree with all this and people say when he gets decent service he will score. They got to wake up like benteke. Hes very frustraing to watch hes started to get the man u syndrome where he sits on the ground and raises his arms if hes tackled. I want him to succeed ,I really do but cant see it while hes red and blue. COYP

Agree with others that it would be unreasonable to sell the only striker we have with no guarantee of CW being fit for January. I also think that he will be OK once he scores - and he will eventually if given any service. yeah, just sit him down roy and tell him to get stuck in and move, hes a bit rusty, give him time to recover an get fit

Frustrating thing I find with Benteke is he's useless with the ball at his feet. Yes, I know his strength and the quality he brings is in the air but for the money we paid for him we should expect that he's capable of bringing the ball down and bringing others into play. Whenever he has the ball at his feet or tries to do anything other than knock it on he invariably looses possession He's a very frustrating player to watch. Would have loved to see him with a Defoe type alongside him. That's incorrect.

The logic is if we sell him for 30 million (which might still be possible on the back of his goal tally last season) we can bring in 2 or 3 10 million pounds strikers to replace him. HaHa... There is NO logic.. 2 or 3 League one strikers you mean... Dreamworld stuff. What I can't get is why Palace and all the other Premiership clubs looking for strikers haven't worked that one out before.

That's a fair point and I must confess that I have not really followed Burnley's tranfers this season. from a quick search, was it Chris Wood 4 goals and Jack Cork, 2 goals. (correct me if I'm wrong) Also that is their tally in a team that is playing the best football they have ever played. I will put myself out on a limb and say that neither of those players will outscore Benteke this season. IMHO. Although, I hope I'm not wrong, as we need him at his best.

You may well be right but the real issue in my opinion is why the likes of Wood are not appearing for Palace ? Due to a lack of any back up we can't sell Tekkers in Jan as we will have a job getting 1 decent striker in this window, let alone 2.

That's another question, don't get me wrong, there must be some players from the lower leagues here that could cut it in the Prem given the chance. Look at Murray, sold by us after an eratic Premier League start, injury and changing managers didn't help him. A very poor spell at Bournmouth and now doing the business at the weed. You never can tell and it is easy to just waste a load of cash. But in regards of selling Benteke, no. He is a very good target man and as I said before our most prolific striker for many a year and if he gets 12 this season, while I would expect more from him, that would be a good return for where we are.
