Harsh on sako. I was there at Ashton gate and he was the one shining light. In my view he earned his call up.

Also, getting pva back on track has to be a major priority as we need a match fit and effective lb to balance the side. I see schlupp as more attacking wing back; and tfm plays on the other side. Playing rb at lb brought about pardews downfall. We do not want to go down that path again.

Should've been dropped for his own good well before Christmas.

Keep persevering when he clearly needs time out is weak management.

The one thing in his defence I would say is that unlike AWB he gets very little cover or support from Wilf, whereas AWB always has someone supporting him. The issue is that the only other option who is fit is Schlupp, who seems equally questionable defensively. Maybe against the likes of Huddersfield and Cardiff we might be better as a 3-5-2 (albeit that will never happen)?:

Kelly Tomkins Dann

AWB Kouyate Luka Meyer Schlupp

he's had Sakho bailing him out for most of the season so he has had cover.

Useless at defending all season and now his passing is very poor.

New left back needed in the summer - he's the weak link.
