For today's game I'd certainly put in a fit, athletic youngster who's keen to impress and defend from the front over an unfit lump like Sako or a proven non-goalscoring CF like Campbell.

Sako was shocking when he came on against Saints and blew up badly in the league cup.

Campbell will not start - He is at Hull and scored last weekend !

Sure Willo but his departure has been lamented by some. Not me.

Only lamented due to the current situation in terms of backup to Benteke.

I suspect if Campbell had still been at our club he would have been selected to start today.

But one can understand the rationale of not extending Campbell's contract.

IMO no loss irrespective of the Benteke situation although I'd concede he scored what proved to be a very valuable goal at Hull last season.

I thought Ladapo looked quite mobile, solid and had some nice little touches (although no one to knock onto).

You can't make any lasting judgement after a short cameo today, but he's gotta be the guy to play for now - at least until we know a bit more about how he can handle 45+ minutes.

Start him vs Chelsea, it can't get any worse. He's the only player at the club scoring this season(u23's I know) ffs.

We could play 4-1-5 (false number nine) with no striker.

When he came on albeit for a short time, won pretty much all his headers and looked to have a decent touch. Did more in his time than sako did all match. As a first impression looked to have something about him. He should start against Chelsea.

Definitely give him a run.Not saying BS did worse than anyone else btw. Let's be honest he looked far more lively than CB has. Maybe even play the pair up top together when CB is fit like the Palace of old. Just my opinion of course

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong
