I hope it isn't true, we have a two week break to look at things, change the personnel Change the style maybe, FDB is no mug, and should be given the chance to put things right, two mistakes cost us on Saturday, if we had taken some of our chances we would have got something. When we had IH we lost 10 of our first 11 games, once we get a couple of missing players back and strengthen a couple of positions, maybe.........

The two loan players look quality and have, in my view, strengthened the squad from last season irrespective of their relative lack of experience. R LC's injury is unfortunate.

Riedewald must be a de Boer signing.

Too true Willo. Bournmouth should stick with Howe because hes a good manager playing the way the club supports. FdB has come in trying (with Parish's) support, to change the culture of the club, But its just not working.

I know people at Bournemouth and have availed of their complimentary tickets which included the 'Bubbles' champagne bar so I'm not going to criticise them !

Howe took over (For the second time) in Oct 2012 when Bournemouth were languishing in the lower divisions. He got off to a fine start and I think they only lost 1 of their first 15 league games under him.

No ability to threaten their defence cost us on Saturday. With no goal threat you cannot afford to give just one goal away.

Parish is out of his depth now in football matters.

its true tho isnt it, thats one trick being used to get around FFP rules, how the f*** are bournmouth paying for defoe/afobe/ibe/begovic and their other lavish signings? how are man citeh justifying buying £50m defenders for the bench? how the f*** are wolves getting away with spending £20m on signings when they were in league one 2 seasons ago.

This looks like an all-round disaster. The manager's future in doubt, three days left in the transfer window, yet another supposed Palace target (Wimmer) goes to another club, Palace now third-favourite for relegation. How do we get out of this mess?

FDB criticising players for having "no balls" was well out of order. He's blaming them for the failure of the system he imposed. Not exactly how to generate player loyalty.
I've been taking the glass-half-full view of FDB up to now. Sadly, the glass-half-empty view is becoming more plausible.

Judging by some fans attitude, it wouldn't surprise me if FDB walks before any move to sack him. Best fans in the league? We really are not showing it at the moment. The sense of entitlement is bewildering.

He needs time, financial backing and deserves to be given both.

Our performance in the transfer window thus far has been disappointing. If the plan was to spend the entire time bargaining a fee and spending our (undisclosed) budget on Sakho only then Parish should have said this from the start. This would have gone some way to managing some peoples wholly unrealistic expectations.

Absolutely agree with the sentiment of this post. There has been an embarrassing amount of pant wetting over the past few weeks. Panicking and throwing our toys out the pram isn't exactly the most adult of responses. Remember that the mandate was long term stability when hiring FDB so we better get behind that sentiment and be man enough to suck up the s*** for the next couple of months if we want to build something we can all be proud of

If Frank agrees to start matches with 4 at the back like v Swansea, but not with ward at left back then I agree. We should only attempt 3 at the back at full strength, with proper wing backs and 4 decent CB's in the 17 matchday squad, and just to catch teams out, not for them to analyse us over and over and pick us apart at ease. Otherwise it's suicidal.

But we don't have 2 weeks to make concrete plans and act on them. We have a few days before the window closes at 11pm on Thursday.

The problem is playing a formation we don't suit and players out of position. If it wasn't for that things would be calmer, but Frank is making himself look as though he's intent on what he wants and so what if it's not right. He's right, it's everything else that's wrong.
