It's not a lack of investment, we have all been thinking it all summer. It may look good in pre season, opposition giving space etc. We don't have the players to play 343... Today wasn't a shock, it's the premier league. We are a counter attacking club, with players to play 433. Ward playing rwb! The team picks itself! Milo Loftus and cabaye/punch in midfield.. Townsend, Zaha and benteke in front.. Playing direct football with 4 at the back. Totally agree

Disagree with you completely. Many of us have been fans for decades. If you have been a palace fan for any length of time you will know we are among the most tolerent set of fans there are. Over the years we very rarely boo the team. We are (apart from a notable few) always very good at clapping/acknowledging returning ex players. So I think you have picked the wrong set of fans to label the way you are. The reason for the strong feelings on this occasion, are because the wounds are still very much sore from the Pardew experiment last year and most can see FdB is taking us down a similar route that will risk our Prem status. Relegation would be a distaster and completely avoidable if we learnt from and built on the recent lessons from BFS, be compact, be hard to beat and play to our strengths. 100% correct - couldn't of put it better.

All our business will be done in the last 10 days I reckon. Players are asking for stupid wages right now as the ridiculous rise in fees has inflated everything. As the window approaches demands will fall and clubs will up their offers to reach a happy compromise I believe. I expect 4 more through the door personally.

There will be even greater embarrassment against Liverpool if we don't go back to a defensive, counter-attacking set-up. Imagine Liverpool's attacking players with their high press against our defenders f***ing around with the ball... Going to have to ditch all the clever bollocks for this one.

What a shambles that was. RLC best player in red and blue by a mile. I don't want to see ward as wingback ever again. Please scrap this formation and go back to 433. 5 at the back has and will not ever work at Palace. Last 3 league games with 5 at the back. City away, Sunderland at home and today's embarrassment.

It's simple isn't it? If I had known I'd have grabbed the season review DVD from the club shop for Frank to watch.

Embarrassing? Bollocks, today was just a bad day on the pitch. Embarrassing is the ridiculous overreaction on here, which sadly was totally expected unfortunately.

yep, that's support, especially after 1 game. Allardyce took several games to start getting results and many were moaning about him also after the first couple games. So yes, stand exactly by what I said above, or are you asking for your expenses to be refunded whenever the team loses? Yes, but Allardyce was correcting the whole of 2016 under Pardew. Allardyce got us back and this new guy was to take us forward from that. Instead we are back to Pardew. Hopefully the players this time are fitter than they were under Pardew? In a matter of weeks we may need Sammy Lee to get us back to how we were under Allardyce?

At this juncture, all points being heard- I for one am not questioning the formation choice or transfer activity - as these things do take some time to get right. HOWEVER, my biggest question for de boer is this: why start Ward and Hennessey after they played little or no time at all preseason? They were easily 2 of the worst players on the pitch today. We had tons of shots and could have easily won this match.

That was sh*t. Can't understand why we have ditched BFS relatively successful system! I don't believe you can play wingbacks and wingers in the same team. Hence Townsend on the bench and Wilf trying his luck in the middle.

So true, they were always going to struggle those first few games until Allardyce got them fit.
