You'd see it at University, where its accepted but frowned upon, older lecturers with younger students - but they were all consenting adults.

It's just common sense that any teacher who passes on their personal contact details to a secondary school student (irrespective of age) is asking for trouble. Dodgy historic pictures via social media can also come back to bring down a career.
