This post has been merged from a topic called 'Fosu-Mensah Loan Signing' by Guntrisoft A friend of mine who supports united says he's very highly rated, powerful and quick. United used him as a rb/rwb so i reckon he could be used out there rather then in the middle. Edited by JacksonEagle (07 Aug 2017 11.35am)

In the few cup games, I've seen him he look strong and very capable at prem league level , only 19 so fits the criteria that de Boer searching for can play right back, centre b4ack and defensive midfielder. He was originally in the Ajax academy, so de Boer would know him. He's hardly gonna get a real chance at Man Utd after they finished their spending. Even a loan deal with a view to buy wouldn't be a bad option.

Not happy it's a loan, that removes the possibility of Sakho on loan. This guy is okay but I don't think he is at the level we need yet.

There's a desperate part of me hoping we're still going for Sakho - if we get Fosu-Mensah and therefore have a complete defence rather than leaving a Sakho-shaped hole, if Liverpool do get desperate to offload at the end of the window we'll be in a take-it-or-leave-it position and won't be held to ransom.

Looks like we are going for the hyphenated players. Cholmondley-Warner upfront ? Looks a good addition, raised in the Ajax youths for some years, so probably knows the gaffer.

He's impressed a lot of Man Utd. fans and from the limited games I've seen him play I think he is more than capable of a commanding a starting place in our back line. Loans may not be the best but if we get him alongside Loftus-Cheek they will be 2 very decent loan signings for us. Hopefully it frees up funds for a couple of permanent additions too. I don't think Liverpool will loan Sakho out to the Prem again, if he isn't sold at a knocked down price (I can't see anyone throwing £30 their way) he will no doubt go abroad on a loan deal, I do still think we may do a deal if the price is right.

Loans aren't the answer. I remain acutely interested in who we bring in on permanent. No, I agree. To me, loans at this level of the game seem to be a lose-lose in the long run. If they play well (like Sakho), they go back and won't come back. If they don't play well, then it's a waste of a loan deal. Good player from what I've seen, and has had game time in the Premierleague. Would prefer having Chambers permanent to be honest, and going for a loanee up front (if we had to). By the way, would any mods either delete this thread or merge it with the other, please? I didn't realise there was already a thread in Transfer Talk. Edited by Dan1994 (07 Aug 2017 11.58am)
