He's no better than what we have! Hennessy needs replacing not competition! Parish said at De Boer's press conference that we don't want to be scrapping against relegation this season but we're not improving our team! We're puffing out the squad but with potential and average players! Surely Sammy Lee can inform FDB that Hennessy dives in slow motion that Sako is a mid table championship player and that Damo and Ward will do more harm than good! This time last year we were signing England internationals and a £30m goal scorer after finishing higher than last season and reaching a cup final! I wonder what it would be like to sign players early and work with them throughout pre season like virtually everybody else does?

Had a bit of a mare to start the season but should have returned to the first team far sooner than he did. Once brought back he played well and looked like the player they had two seasons ago. If we can bring him in for anything like the money we're talking then that is fantastic business. We have a lot more players to bring in this window...Penny-pinching - as you call it may allow us to get more through the door. The WHU fans I know rate him, and are upset that Hart has come in automatically to be No. 1. If the rumored price of 3m is true, that is great value for a decent PL keeper. If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

with speroni having his probable last year and the price being 3 mil I would be more than happy to take him! Always thought he was a decent keeper and if he does turn out to become first choice and does well then all is good if not we have a decent number 2.

If we can't identify and capture a truely top quality goal keeper then £3m for Adrian sounds like good buisness. Between the tree of them they'll do a good enough job until a true first class keeper can be acquired

Edited by NickinOX (26 Jul 2017 1.20pm) I think its the opening bid which WHU will obviously reject, saying this is absurd, should be at least £zillion, etc, etc. At a guess, might end up at £6/7m?

Not exciting signing but he does have prem experience that a plus. I had hoped for cillessen or Ospina. I think we got our fingers burnt with a player that didn't know the league in mandanda. If we can bring in a couple more quality defenders then can't complain.

Apart from a dip in form start of last season he's looked a really decent Premier League goalkeeper. You don't get picked for the Spain squad if you're a mug and he's very mobile and great shot stopper which has become an underrated commodity IMO.
