Not sure if I read that right but it sounds as though we may have agreed personal terms with Sakho and are going to submit an offer. Wow this one might not be over yet!

Agree personal terms means that Sakho would be happy to return, if what being reported is accurate. If we can stump the money, personally think it's curtains for Scott dann. With Sakho and Tomkins as 1st choice pairing and Kelly and Delaney as cover. Especially if we also sign a player LIKE veltman that cover rb and cb aswell. (I think veltman just signed a 1yr extension)

Of course it's hard to verify the legitimacy of these fresh rumours but to be honest I did always think there was more to the story than simply Us no longer being interested. FDB has been around the block and he knows that regardless of how good he was for us last season, 30 mil ain't happening. No one can say for sure of course but I think the media release of us dropping the interest was nothing more than a bargaining tactic. It's pretty clear Klopp doesn't fancy him and I think it's very unlikely anyone will come close to that valuation - I mean I love him as much as the next guy but 30mil is mental, even in today's market.

Have a sneaky feeling we haven't heard the last of this one. I would add, however, I think it's important FDB is given the freedom to pick the players he genuinely wants and isn't pushed players onto him for sentimental reasons. I'm sure he has his own ideas and for all we know Sakho doesn't fit in with what he's trying to achieve.

If it's true that we've agreed personal terms then this could actually put us in a strong position. They might find it hard selling him to say stoke for £30m if he digs his heels in. If he wants to come to Palace then let's hope that's worth £5m off the asking price.

If he's on 100k a week at Liverpool, and they accept £25m for him, they'd make up the lost £5m in wages next season. I hope this isn't going to drag on because as we know from last season it's important to have the squad together before the season starts, we were at least 4 games behind everyone else (apart from Hull).
