Palace aren't the New York Yankees, Parish isn't George Steinbrenner and Pardew isn't Billy Martin, getting sacked so he can return 6 months later. Can we get past the tawdry soap opera plots please?

I keep having visions of hodgson in the dugout next year!!!

Good job you don't own or run the club then.

Why on earth, would anybody think we would entertain the thought of bring Pardew back.
I expect we paid him off, would he pay it back to get a job? He lost the dressing room and player fitness was very poor under him.
Parish would be a complete laughing stock, it isn't going to happen.

The herd here all against so bring back Pards.

A few wins the prospect of a cup run the herd will all be at his feet shouting 'SuperAl' again.

I don't think so, I have no time for that fraud

Agree.
Would prefer to see Jeremy Corbyn as our Manager, although both he and AP lack leadership qualities !!

Exactly. He's never gonna come back. The good relationship build up by Parish and the supporters. Would be destroyed with this re-appointment.

Isn't the criteria for the next manager top 10 finish if possible and a cup run. I think ranieri on a short term deal, maybe 1 year, would give parish time to appoint a coach that could be in charge of Palace for the next 4 years. This time there is no stand out candidates.

That's the funniest thing I have heard today! Cheered me up no end!!

All you is critize posters on hol . I feel sorry if you, if life come to that. There's more to life than putting posters down. I never seen you actually give an opinion.

It's not difficult to proof read your message before posting though is it? I despair at times when I'm trying to make out what some people are trying to say on here as it's often illegible double-dutch. As for the subject in hand Pardew would be preferable to some of the names I have seen mentioned. We desperately need to get this appointment right and I can't see Parish taking a gamble so stand-by for a safe appointment. Hodgson on a short term deal with a no.2 being groomed to take over possibly? Someone like Sean Derry could fit the bill.

You'd have to have had your brain amputated to think there was any chance of having this arrogant buffon back. Yet apparently Pardew at 28 / 1 or thereabouts is the most popular bet on Palace manager on oddschecker at the moment.

Looking at the list of names on oddschecker just now the folloowing are the only ones I see that are actually worse:

Zola (monumentally bad performance at Brum - truly impressive)
Strachan (can't even get a Scotland side to turn up against England)
Reid (is he really still around?)
Bruce (odious weasel)
Bradley (would have holed Swansea below the waterline if given any longer)
