If the rumors are true about Sam then Parish must leave the club. Apparently it's because Delaney and Hennessey were given new contracts behind Sam's back. Similar to when Parish told Pulis is which players he could and couldn't sign regardless of price. His job isn't to manage the team, once an owner starts that they need to piss off. We've lost the only two real premier league managers we've ever had because of him. I'll risk the red one................shut up you utter c***!!!

Reading that statement I guess he may have wanted to redeem himself after the England sacking plus, while I hope not, there may have been health issues that have helped him make his decision.

Talk about difficult for Parish. Late into the transfer business and now we are stuck with a manager vacancy just while other teams are eyeing our best players. Fingers crossed he pulls us out of the fire again. I think it's time for Popovic.

We need to prepare for this in the future. Get the squad depth right and then try and emulate Southampton, who always have players in mind and managers in line for when things change.

I always viewed his appointment as getting us to the end of the season and seeing what happens. He's never struck me as someone who would spend too much of his career managing in the South. One or two of his predecessors have hardly covered themselves in glory so I don't think we can blame SP for their poor performance. Even tho' he says he's retired the bottom line is that we don't really know what goes in on in real life behind the scenes and any gossip some upthread posters have given is exactly that. Unsubstantiated gossip.

Sam's excuses were just platitudes for the press. Something has gone on behind the scenes (yet again) that we are not party to and Parish has lost yet another manager. Surely even the most ardent Parish fan can see a pattern emerging I think this is highly likely. Let's finally judge when we see how much we spend this Summer, who we sign and where we are in the table next May. If we struggle again or go down I think all but the willingly blind will finally see.
