Just to increase the vagueness of the whole thing I would like to point out that Millwall FC wasn't founded in either Lewisham or South London. Not sure that really changes anyone's argument but in my opinion very few people base their allegiance on what team their Borough council works with. Both Palace's original and current ground are very close to the current borders of 5 London Boroughs as well as the historical border of Kent and Surrey. We have fans in all of them and the more successful we get the more we will be considered the main team in all these areas. anyone happy with just being the main team in Croydon will have been satisfied for decades. cheers Ian (from Sydenham in Lewisham, Born in Beckenham in Bromley, Lived in Penge, Lived in Kenley in Croydon and went to school in Warlingham in Surrey) I am trying to buy a house 5 mins from mine that is apparently in Southwark??

The implication, is that indeed, South London is ours, thanks to being the current 'top' South London football team. Arsenal might have originated in South London, but that is clearly not the case. Where once, South London's 'top club' was Charlton (where I believe the chant began), these filthy pikey caravan dwelling wife beaters have long since disappeared into obscurity, like so many incestuous sons and daughters, and beatings from their superior Gillingham brothers.

Millwall are thugs, hairies and Neanderthals. Clowntown are sad losers who throw pigs onto the pitch to commemorate their going down the toilet. Seaweed are deluded plastics who think getting into the Premier League means they're Barcelona. We have our feet on the floor and our hearts on our sleeves and we behave properly and support our team. Oh, and we're better than them, too. Edited by chateauferret (22 May 2017 4.56pm)

Surely Surrey, Sussex and Kent should be on there as well.

Can we not also add something to the effect of "City of B****ton and Hove"?
