Haha, I genuinely do. I've defended him on other threads. It's just one of those "fish in a barrel" type jokes. That said, I'd be well chuffed for him if he did score the goal to keep us up. If I could pick a player to score a season saving goal for us, I'd probably put him right at the top of my list.

Our home form is awful.

We've lost so many games this season at home so it's difficult to raise any optimism for the Hull game.

An incredibly dull 0-0.

best part of 100m spend and we have come down to effectively a Play Off. Much like the Pay offs it's really hard to predict. We look done Saturday and I could have scored against our defence but we have to hope a rest and the reality will be enough. Assuming Swansea have won Saturday then Hull have to win to stay in with a chance, they are a resilient side under Silva and can easily come to Selhurst and win.

Real nerveracker

Palace 1 (Benteke)
Hull 1

So you think Hull will beat us and Spurs?

I know it's not impossible but I fail to understand the level of confidence on HOL in Hull against the league's second best side, who have the best defence and second best attack. Hull have the worst defence and their attack is better only than Sunderland and Boro.

Exactly. I can understand people worrying that we won't pick up another point, but why is there such great confidence in Swansea and Hull? We may feel bad getting thrashed away at City, but if Hull can't even take a point from Sunderland then why are they remotely likely to take 6 from us and Spurs?

I think we'll actually win this one. If we attach from the start and hit them early we should see it out so 3 - 1.

If we start out really nervy, lose an early goal then :-( but we still have Moan U to come.

So we'll probably lose 1 - 3 then go to Moan U and win - it's so Palace!

Gotta love the rollercoaster

Quite. I full admit that they might do, which would be gutting, but I don't consider it likely that they will and I really bloody hope they don't! If they do then hats off to them and we just have to hope we beat United or Swansea lose one of their games...

You also predict that we'll win this game 2-0. You can't have it both ways.

That's the Bulldog spirit, that saw us through the war.

It'll be like Sheffield Wednesday all over again, only without the very serious consequences of failure. Everyone will be up for it, because they've got between 20-40k a week potentially riding on it.

But you can be sure, that who ever is behind with 15 minutes to go, will be throwing the kitchen sink forwards.

I'd feel more confident if we had some centre backs mind. But we can score goals, and we have the better squad on paper.
