Another memorable Alan Pardew signing, right up there with fellow-flop goalkeeper Alex McCarthy. Let's not forget Jordon Mutch, Chung Yong Lee, Yaya Sanogo and Loic Remy. Then Pardew has the cheek to moan he was not given the January transfer window to save our season.

Another memorable Alan Pardew signing, That we were all excited about at the time. If I remember rightly we were signing France's number 2 keeper which was a real feather in our cap. We can all rewrite history with the benefit of hindsight

I think he is still a far better keeper than Wayne and could have been great for us, looks like he doesn't have the temperament to fight for his place and stay in the trenches.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Yeah he is, I imagine if we were going steady and fighting around the middle of the table he would be a brilliant keeper as he is far better than Wayne in every aspect of his game bar one. You can be a better athlete but not have the stomach for a fight which I think is what we have seen. Not like Wayne is a huge fighter himself either and often looks like bambi on ice when balls come in to the box.

On the evidence that Steve was Ligue 1 keeper of the year on multiple occasions and OM's Player of the year plenty of times during his tenure whereas Wayne has been consistently crap for us and has done almost nothing to prove he should be kept. It's unfortunate Mandanda didn't work out but that doesn't mean he is a bad player. Di Maria and Schwienstieger flopped at united, it happens.

Get rid. A €5m fee would be excellent business, if eventually agreed.

Well Wayne is Welsh No 1 , and those accolades are about the same .

It was a coup for us to get him. I'm not suggesting we keep him, but he is a quality player that just didn't work out for us.
