And it's a terrible darkness. Arguably, those who do these kind of things often have a pretty terrible darkness within them.

I would like to think the truth will be eventually realised. I pity the poor parents of The Moors Murderers victims, who Brady will taunt until his death about where he buried them. The McCann's are now contemplating suing the former investigating police officer over a documentary released on Youtube, based on his book "The Truth is a Lie" It just seems all their fundraising has been used for is appointing PR specialists and lawyers (and the odd private detective, who would not be privy to police information). And now with the 10th Anniversary pending, there seems to be a feeling that the McCanns are planning more TV stuff and perhaps another book "To raise awareness"/raise more money. Of course the biggest victim is the little girl, which seems to be lost in the finger-pointing blame-game. I hope the truth will be found sooner rather than later Something very , very odd about this case. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (16 Feb 2017 3.52pm)

Edited by Forest Hillbilly (16 Feb 2017 3.52pm) On a side note, the media have some responsibility for the suffering of the Moors Murder families. Just about every opportunity, they used any news about Hindley or Brady to publish stories (the same with Huntley) and were involved heavily in arranging 'searches'. The truth is, that even if Brady took them to the right location, after a decade on those peat moors the bodies would have moved, and finding them would have become nearly impossible.

There's always hope,.....until the final whistle Friend of mine is a professional forensic archaeologist, in his experience, bodies buried in peat move, or rather the peat tends to move like tides, with bodies moving across horizontal axis as well as deeper - So unless it comes up against something like a pocket or rock formation - both the landmark, and the body could have moved quite dramatically given the time scale (from each other). Also, given that Brady buried the bodies at night, and in different places, its unlikely he really remembers where they were buried. It just gives him a power and a relevance to pretend he does. On the plus side the peat does preserve the body quite well.

it wouldn't surprise me if mark Williams-Thomas was on the McCann's payroll. Why else would he spout shlt ? And in The Sun ? The only reason this keeps coming back is to fundraise. Especially on the 10th Anniversary No one is going to suddenly think, "Oh, I was in Portugal 10 years ago and remember seeing a man put a dead child's body in the boot of a car." As JM721 points out, there are missing elements to the parents implication. *Disposal of the body: They had visited the resort before, so had the opportunity of reconnaissance for a planned disappearance.

There are so many unknowns that we could come up with all manner of fanciful stories as to what could've happened. I'm not sure a motive is needed, if the whole thing was a charade to cover an accidental/negligent death then that's that box ticked. I appreciate, that's based on nothing. But lack of motive doesn't put me off the potential for them being involved. Nor does it confirm that they were either, of course.
