You do like swearing a lot.

People who swear, rather than using reasoned argument, usually don't have the intelligence for reasoned argument.

What's your excuse for swearing so much? To put your point across? (In which case you lose). Or is it because you don't have one? Or is it that you don't have the intelligence to put across a reasoned argument?

So far all you have said is that you blame Alan Pardew for everything. And swear whilst doing it.

Get a case for argument and you will get a reasoned response. Rant on, swear, and name calling will put you firmly in the *ignore* category.

He's correct, though. You don't change the mentality, physical fitness and confidence of a group of people in a matter of days, especially when they keep getting dealt reversers. You should try it sometime.

That's just deluded! We would be in the bottom 3 under Pardew. If we wanna talk stats, shall we have a look at Pardews points per game for the whole of 2016, which before you answer is completely relevant because that stat includes the reason we are in this mess. Sam is trying to turn around the unfit and demoralised side left behind by Pardew

We would be in the bottom 3 is your opinion. We were never in the bottom 3 under Pardew is fact.

So who's fault is it? A new manager who has been in the job for little over a month?

There are 2 reasons Pardew had a job with us until December...a benevolent chairman and an FA Cup final.
I'd swap that FA Cup final defeat and a new manager brought in during the summer for mid table obscurity right now.
Wouldn't you?

We had mid table obscurity under Pardew. It is Fat boy that has ruined the team

Sorry but you are really very wrong, the team that SA currently has is the legacy of AP, you seem to forget AP and the team was the worst performing team in the entire football league in 2016. So far SA has been able to bring in one new player in this very difficult window and he needs all our support and encouragement if we are to stand any chance of staying up. Pardew was a terrible Manager for this club, he in 12 months virtually destroyed a very good defensive team with 32 points at Christmas time last year to a team that secured only 11 points in the remainder of that season. However, poor SP allowed his emotions to rule his head based on a cup final and really believed AP bulls*** that he was a top six manager heading for Europe and SP gave him the biggest cheque in the history of CP to spend on players and all he did was bring in his mates and no hopers some of whom had sick notes when they arrived and most if not all could not get regular first team football at their previous clubs because they were not considered to be up to the required standard or past their sell by date. That is where the problems came from and poor Sam now has to now try and clear up the mess !

If I am 'really very wrong' name one fact in my post that is wrong? You might not like Pardew but you can't argue with accurate facts.

Because of the early booty of points acquired up to end of September last year. Then it was LLLLLLWDLLL until Pardew 'left'.

Well, thanks for that reply. You can't bait me into joining in a slagging match, I'm above that, but you could tone your responses down. The easy thing to do is read the dross you type before you press *send*. But it seems you feel the need to post without thinking.

Those that can't think resort to insults, abuse, and violence.

Sums you up perfectly.

We were NEVER in the relegation zone under Pardew. Allardyce has already caused Palace to be booed off at halftime for the first time since we got promoted. And also taken us into the relegation zone for the first time this season. Pardew never did either of those things. Last 5 league games under fat prick conceded 9 scored 2. Against West Ham, Arsenal, Swansea, Everton and Watford. 1 point. And Negative, defensive football. Pardews last 5 games scored 11 conceded 11 4 points. Attacking, exciting football. Against Chelsea, Man United, Southampton, Swansea and Hull City.

So if its all Pardews fault why is Allardyces record worse than Pardews?

Edited by StainesPalace (21 Jan 2017 9.04pm)

Amen to that brother. There really shouldn't be any further debate-if football is based on facts the Pardew record of 2016 is soon to become largely irrelevant. Imo were going backwards under Sam, survival or not. Pardew was trying to take us from being a defensive counter attacking team, to one who could actually dominate games. The bad luck with injuries and sheer coincidence that more and more top sides decided to mix it up and adopt a counter attack approach (including the bang average champions of England) has badly reflected and backfired on pardew. My gut instinct tells me Alladyce really doesn't give two s***s about palace, and that for me counts more than any record across a calender year. I think we've peaked and now need to accept the adventure may be over. Get rid of these yanky t***s for one!

He is correct in your, and his and others, opinion. The fact is, we are getting less points per game now. It is a fact. Reverse whatever you want. He has the same team, who, incidentally got us all but one point this season. Give him time and we might even get another point before the season ends. "Good ol' Sam". Keeping teams playing negative since forever.

I had us down as coming a disappointing 16th or 17th before the season started with Pardew and him being let go at the end of it.

Under Allardyce I think we will end up second from bottom or worse and him being kept on for next season.

Only at Palace

I do like AP but he is not a good Manager in terms of tactics and spotting talent, as far as fact are concerned in 12 months during 2016 we were the worst performing team in the football league and would have easily been relegated has that been the hypothetical season. coupled with that most of AP signings have not performed to the value we paid for them and some even had sick notes when they arrived and were in the main second rate players with their previous teams who could not get game time because they were considered not good or fit enough. Need i say more?

Were we in mid table obscurity when Pardew was sacked? Or left by mutual consent? As is the polite way to say sacked nowadays.
No. We were floundering.
Do you forget the baffling substitutions, the very poor buys and the lack of tactical nous?
With the best will in the world you don't put that right overnight.
No-one can.

Whatever your thoughts on the subject of Pardew, it doesn't matter anymore.
He's done his damage and now he's £3m better off and probably sunning himself on a beach somewhere.
Makes me laugh when I hear about how he was a perfect fit for us and that he knew 'what we were about'.
Nonsense.
Still, I know a few Palace who'll welcome a return to The Championship. And they'll have super Alan Pardew to thank for that.
