TBH with the flatness at the minute the Crystal Girls are probably bigger than HF and CPFC put together.

think i shouldav posted this in here rather than the mandanda post...

watching that video makes me sad...mainly because the minute our wilf got fouled & we won the penalty the club we loved started to evolve into the monster its becoming today.

as soon as we reached the play off final steve parish said only people who purchased a membership could buy tickets for the final.

i was lucky a fan on here helped me out, but it was a massive f***-you to the casual fan who went to a mixture of 10-15 home & away games a season most seasons, mostly at short notice as it suited their time off work. exactly the fans behind the reason 2010 brought the club, to save it for its fans.

parish & 2010 are lucky theres 10'000+ 'new fans' who are willing to buy season tickets now were in the promised land, who dont feel like they are being taken for a c***.

anyway, back to the club, not the fans...over the last 4 seasons, the clubhas evolved from a club thats having a holiday in the top flight, to a club that cant afford to get relegated because of the wage bill & assets...ive recently had comments made to me that i wouldnt care if we went down, thats not true, i would care, getting relegated would piss me off, would it upset me? no. a day & a hangover later i would be fine with it and actually look forward to us not being part of this financial based bulls*** anymore, the sort of bulls*** that makes us choose substnace over style.

the joke of the football pyramid is that you spend all your time dreaming of a promotion season, but after a while it turns into a nightmare.

it really is 6 of 1 & half a dozen of another, i want the club to be successful but cant be arsed with the fake bulls*** side of things...i dont care if we have...

scott dann or carl cort
joel ward or danny butterfield
big benteke or clinton morrison
yohan canaye or marco reich

in fact the only reason i like the PL is that i can see every game in HD quality from the comfort of my sofa...maybe thats more sad than any of the above.

btw i 100% understand why the club has evolved the way they have but when you pick the bones out of it its not right is it? i think the HF have a very vaild point with their recent stance "blinded by the lights"

nick...an i going mad or is it all bulls***? as i am questioning myself?

are we all falling into the PL trap or is there more to football than paying frazier campbell £35'000 a week?

Likewise the Cantona T-Shirts - seems very unlikely to me.

I thoight this about the cantona shirts. Was told today by a season ticket holder in the main stand this happened. Maybe someone else can confirm or deny this.

Don't care much for the light show or the announcer but nobody would give a monkey's if we were mid-table.

I do agree to some extent with what the HF are saying. They have not put their point across that well though. I couldnt give a stuff about Free T-shirts and supposed piped music. When we were in the Championship i think every paying fan thought they were part of the club, by turning up each week we were putting money into the club to help keep it going. The owners would communicate with the fans and listen to issues. Steve Browett had his own thread on the BBS that fans would ask when the toilets were being fixed to how many away tickets we had sold. There was a personal touch and a feeling of togetherness. Often opinion of the fans was important, like the badge change. Now its disjointed, Our ticket money is a very tiny percentage of the turnover, There is very little interaction from the Club or owners. We do not matter anymore. The influx of new supporters is great but most add nothing to the atmosphere and imo the newbies that have not endured some of the bad times like the rest of us are the most negative at games, Abusing our own players and booing. I am not saying its all newbies but the hardcore going in the Championship didnt act like that. I can see us slowly turning into Chelsea,Arsenal off the pitch and its hard to swallow as i have mocked their fans for years for turning up and the only noise they make is to moan. We will end up like Chelsea with our away support being made up mostly of the hardcore fans that dont enjoy homegames like they used to. I feel like that now, At away games you get the feeling of togetherness. The HF have also created a divide with some of the songs that only they sing. If nobody else joins in they should stop singing them as it becomes a droaning noise that kills the atmosohere. Bring back some of the old songs and the rest will join in.

That's just what happens when you grow. It's like a band getting popular, it's harder to respond to people when you're suddenly being bombarded with 10x more requests. Despite this, Steve Parish just this week appeared on a fans podcast, and if you tweet him directly will often respond. How many other PL clubs is that the case?

Honestly, the majority of the complaint seems to be that it's not an exclusive club of 14,000 people in the ground every week. If you want the club to grow, more people are going to come to games.

Also, "stadium bowl" is I believe a technical term for the seating area only?

As in, you are not allowed to drink in the stadium bowl, but can in other parts of the ground.

Does this really affect anyone?
