What he should probably be lauded for are his failures to get a full health care program, and attempts to implement reasonable gun control. Because I'd say the three key elements that the US really suffers from are its public educational facility, availability of health care (inc Mental health care) and a staggering issue with gun deaths.

Because I'd say the three key elements that the US really suffers from are its public educational facility, availability of health care (inc Mental health care) and a staggering issue with gun deaths. he made a terrible mistake when he came into office and wanted to try to work with the republicans. he wanted to negotiate and have 2 sides work together. they were never going to do it. so the things he could have affected were only in the 1st 2 years. then the republicans took over congress and nothing he wanted would ever go through. he should have rammed his agenda through when he had the chance but didn't do it.

At least sfter 8 years of Obama, we are here able to discuss whether he was a good or bad President of the US. I'll be happy if after 4 years of Trump, we are in the same position.
