It's ridiculous that we are even discussing this possibility with the calibre of players we have at our disposal, but that highlights how poor a manager Pardew (aka Mildew) really is. We should be in a better position than WBA, Watford and Bournemouth, rather than 1 point above the bottom 3 at Christmas. Defeat at WAtford and Arsenal away will see us start off 2017 actually in the bottom 3 and will make it difficult to attract the new players we need. The longer we keep Pardew as manager, the more likely we are to go down. if he was so poor hoof we wouldnt have stayed up 2 seasons in a row and got to cup final whilst massive clubs like newcastle & villa were relegated.

I expect a point is the best we will get unless we can get past the 43rd and 88th minutes of a game without then conceding a goal. Edited by Direwolf (18 Dec 2016 11.33am)

There are quite a few relegation double headers coming up that give teams the opportunity to nick three points and substantially alter their position over Christmas. We don't have one until We meet Swansea in January. Some points against Watford will be needed to keep us out of the bottom three.

According to the bookies we will finish 5th from bottom, but are only willing to offer 4-1 for us going down. Thats no vote of confidence!

At the end of September we were 10 points ahead of Sunderland, now it's 1 point. I've said before we need to watch the trend, and if things are not improving we need change.

We let in three v Hull five v Swansea three v Burnley all low scoring teams how can you expect us to keep a clean sheet away from home v Watford.
