It's ridiculous that we are even discussing this possibility with the calibre of players we have at our disposal, but that highlights how poor a manager Pardew (aka Mildew) really is.

We should be in a better position than WBA, Watford and Bournemouth, rather than 1 point above the bottom 3 at Christmas.

Defeat at WAtford and Arsenal away will see us start off 2017 actually in the bottom 3 and will make it difficult to attract the new players we need.

The longer we keep Pardew as manager, the more likely we are to go down.

if he was so poor hoof we wouldnt have stayed up 2 seasons in a row and got to cup final whilst massive clubs like newcastle & villa were relegated.

..after Watford we will see how the past four games have improved their confidence, I expect no mistakes and three points against a team that is struggling to score although playing well still.

I expect a point is the best we will get unless we can get past the 43rd and 88th minutes of a game without then conceding a goal.

That is my opinion Brauny.... you keep believing!

Pulis has got WBA playing much better football than Pardew has got Palace playing right now.

There are quite a few relegation double headers coming up that give teams the opportunity to nick three points and substantially alter their position over Christmas. We don't have one until We meet Swansea in January. Some points against Watford will be needed to keep us out of the bottom three.

..if we needed five points to get out of the relegation places then yes we are in trouble even with quite a few games to go, but because we are playing well and scoring (results not) and are not stuck in the relegation places to be awarded five points now would place us happily mid table.

..they lost to the same team that beat us 2-1....2-0 and they appeared to struggle more than us on the highlights.

According to the bookies we will finish 5th from bottom, but are only willing to offer 4-1 for us going down. Thats no vote of confidence!
We are clearly relegation candidates. It will not be decided by our performances against Liverpool, Chelsea etc but against Hull, Burnley, Leicester, Sunderland, Swansea, West ham etc and that is the problem. It doesn't matter that we only lose 1=0 to Chelsea. We lost. If we cant beat Hull Swansea and Burnley we are in trouble.

At the end of September we were 10 points ahead of Sunderland, now it's 1 point. I've said before we need to watch the trend, and if things are not improving we need change.

We let in three v Hull five v Swansea three v Burnley all low scoring teams how can you expect us to keep a clean sheet away from home v Watford.
