Whatever happened to that bloke called Benteke at the Villa.?
He scored some real special goals. Check him out on u tube.
Sounds like our manager is treating the bloke we got right. Either he performs or faces the axe. Cant say fairer than that.
I just don't know what has happened to him. You can't blame anything about our style of play. No matter how we play, Shearer would safely be in double figures by now.
No, there is something not right with Benteke. Don't ask me what, but he is so different to when he was at Villa. No goals since May. Unbelievable. Last season he was alright but certainly not special.
I feel sorry for him. He must be wondering why he has lost it. But he has.

Hes probably on north of 50k per week - I wouldn't feel too sorry for him

Reading between the lines of this it looks as though Hodgson's patience has run out and that Bakery Saki is looking more like a striker than Benteke is as far as he is concerned. The bit about Sako having scored because he followed the ball in from Zaha's shot seems to suggest the epilogue, "Christian please note".

Benteke's movement ?

I suspect that many have formed the conclusion that his performances have resembled a 'Bowel movement'.

Look at this YouTube clip of Benteke with Villa. He scored and set up so many goals with his feet and in the run of play. I haven't seen any of this with Palace.

I think it's fair to say that Villa did everything in their power to give him every opportunity to succeed however as it appears he took all their Penalties and free kicks as well. Perhaps having all thise opportunities fed into making him a more confident player?

he lost confidence (actually at Liverpool). it's slowly coming back. If fans want to make him a boo boy at matches and ensure we never get him up to his best, then crack on. but the best thing FOR THE CLUB is not to get exasperated with him. it'll come. If it doesn't, the financial hit is extreme.

That would make sense if he hadn't had scored the 17 goals last season. I just think he is complacent due to no challengers for his shirt and that he has lost the fire in his belly and a yard of pace.

A lot of the time Benteke wins the ball from a goal kick or a long ball from a defender, lays it off but nobody is there to recieve it.
I'd like Hodgson to swap Wilf with RLC. Wilf is better coming in from the wing & i'm sure RLC would be better through the middle just behind Benteke.

Bloody Hell, after watching that youtube video of Benteke.

I forgot how good he was, What has happened to him? He had pace and skill and was a great finisher and now we have a bloke who cant score unless its a tap in for 4 yards out.

I would love him to score a hat trick and get the belief back. It must be a pure confidence issue.

His next goal for us and we could see a revitalised Benteke.

We all want to see him put himself about a bit and get a goal, but i cannot see it happening. It say's it all when our 2 subs came on and Bako anticipates a rebound and scores, then Jimmy Mac finds space and tucks it away first attempt.

They showed more in 10 minutes than Tekkers has in 9 hours of football. I think the penalty miss has done for him really and i have seen it a few times now and it looks worse every time i see it...

I have a feeling there will not be a next goal for us from him. He looks finished. It now looks as though this supposedly £30m striker has lost his place to a player who until lately didn't look premier league standard and isn't even a striker in the first place. But based on Tuesday you would think each were the other.
