No, because we really need some points.

No because he'll get the sack eventually anyway. A win/draw tomorrow may mean a stay of execution. But the writing is on the wall for him. It's not like we're going to suddenly win or go unbeaten 10 in a row is it? Not with him in charge anyway.

I would never wish us to lose, but if it happens I won't be that upset as that will surely be game over. Just said to my Dad in the pub the optimal result for us is a 4-4 draw with us up 4-0 at half time. Would expose our defensive frailties and Pardew's lack of game management while getting us a point.

I believe that many are under-estimating the patience of the 'Board' in relation to Pardew.

Nah, he'll get the sack anyway eventually as other's have said.

I think Soton will win tomorrow regardless of how well we play as they have a great team - it's an unfair test on Pardew. I therefore think (agreeing with Willo) the board won't make a decision based on tomorrow's result. I think we'll play better though - valiant defeat 2-1/3-1.

Now, perhaps the question should whether the team want to lose tomorrow. Despite all the usual guff about how positive the dressing room is and how 'the lads' are all gutted about recent form and how they are pulling together, whether the truth is that many are actually f**ked of with the status quo and would prefer the manager to sling his hook. Maybe they are discussing this matter right now.........

Sort of this. It really doesn't matter what we want to happen in 94-97 mins.

It's like neutrals getting worked up over who wins on tv. What happens, happens.

We will support but what we want to happen is irrelevant. What happens after whatever happens is interesting and out of our say so, unless we make enough of a protest, although it'll have to be big enough to make Parish act because Pardew won't give up millions.

For the record, no I don't want us to lose. Never do, but have sometimes been so bored with the monotony of some of our managers it's been like watching sh1t Sunday evening tv aftera huge hangover.

Rarely do I agree with Mark Lawrenson but he also thinks that if a manager is so bad that he's given 2 matches, why the 2 matches? This is it. 5 year contract. Dear oh dear.

It would be nice to lose by more than one goal!

Three wins are wanted:-

First Half
Second Half
Stoppage Time

The Team proved against Swansea that they are capable of going ahead - I hope they then stay ahead - and that AP gets to speak with his win scriptwriter.

Seriously it will make a nice change not to lose by a frustratingly close margin.

If we defend like we have been they'll put four or five past us, if you ask me 3-1's a decent scoreline when you match the teams up and account for our current form.

I don't think SP ever saw this coming when he gave AP a 5 year contract. There was so much hype put on AP about the England job he probably wanted to tie him in. Bit naive when you consider our league form Jan-April but hey ho probably felt like we all did that with the successful deals in the summer we were moving into a new era.
Well he got that wrong! But it's not insurmountable. Whoever agreed that contract has in hindsight given us a harder decision to make now. I am struggling to see a way out of the current crisis other than new manager. Wouldn't want to be in SP shoes right now. He's undoubtedly put himself in a difficult place.

The Independent report that the Palace hierarchy have agreed to give Pardew the one game today to turn things around against Southampton.
We lose ,he goes and Big Sam will take over.
Much pressure on Pards, but he has been given acres of time to get us winning ,failed to do so in a results driven business. Not all his fault I know and Millen must take his share of the blame also and be relieved of his responsibilities, also.

Absolutely want Palace to win today and to use victory as kick start to season again with Pardew's job saved. Definitely don't want mercenary managers like Allerdyce in his place.
