I think you're right, I was patient with Pardew since last season's bad run, but now I'm waking up and admitting he's just not good enough. Knowing our luck, we'll beat Swansea and Hull and draw with Southampton. The rest? Nothing at all. Edited by Alexi_the_Eagle (19 Nov 2016 5.44pm) If so as I've mentioned we would be no further on from when Pards joined. We are now literally looking at the possibility of a few extra points above this level. Like the Boxing Day debacle against Soton with Warnock I can see the Watford away game being the last chance saloon presently.

It might be more realistic( and depressing) to ask who we will actually beat the way the team is performing? We know its not West Ham, West Brom, Stoke, Burnley etc so all we are let with this Swansea, Sunderland and Hull.
Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978 |

TP gave us a backline that I recall top team managers whining about how hard it was to get through. AP inherited that and with Bolasie and Zaha on the wings we were getting results. That was not built upon by AP, he weakened it, it is gone. Jedinak was the tip of the spear on the backline, in essence a 5-man backline to help us compete against top attacks and grab the odd win. So when I heard about Jedinak being replaced I assumed that 'he was being replaced'. No - genius AP, gets millions to develop the frontline and while he's doing that he weakens the backline. All that money and trust put into him by the board, and what do we get? The worst team in 4 leagues. Please give me a break. In 2013 Pulis came in after 12 games to find a side that had let in 21 goals in those 12 games - that included a 1-0 win at Hull where he watched from the stands.

He's made mistakes, but I've just got a horrible feeling if we sack him now it could go seriously tits up, at least at the moment we're still competitive and we're still causing teams problems going forward. We just need whatever pairing we've got at the heart of our defence to shape up again!!

I would agree that some clubs are quick to fire managers, however this would not be the case with AP, 31 PL matches with five wins only, the club have been rated 92/92 in football states covering all 92 member clubs which makes AP at position 92 the worst performing manager in the entire league averaging a little over 0.7 points per game which if continued over this current season would see us with a points total of under 30, to be sure of being safe we need at least 43 points( West Ham were relegated with 42) which means we now need to be averaging over 1.2 points per game for the rest of this season. The longer we delay the decision process the more difficult it is going to be to turn this situation around. The record speaks for itself so I do not see any other option if staying in PL is what I think we all want!

It's just that you all seem to have forgotten. Being eternally grateful and sticking with him (IE burying head in sand) is only going to get us relegated. Thanks for what he's done but time to look forward not back.

The way we're going we could be the team relegated with most goals scored EVER in the Premier League! That would be just bloody typical; entertaining but pointless in more ways than one.

The Geordies on here were goading us with how Pardew goes on long winless runs in between his good runs. So we must be in for one of his good runs any time now, mustn't we?
