Leicester on paper aren't better than us really. People are getting carried away because they won the league - would swap Fuchs with Kelly, Huth or Morgan with Damo and Mahrez with townsends but other than that I don't see any superiority "on paper". My biggest issue with Pardew is I don't see any improvement - if results were poor but you could see evidence of us evolving then fair enough but it's bulls*** in my opinion. Tactically we have looked completely lost for a long long time and we only ever seem to look good when we do the exact thing pardew supposedly wants to come away from which is sitting deep and nicking a couple by set pieces/on the break. The reason we are good at those things are because of the defensive foundations laid out by Pulis.

Under pardew, as time goes on, we look weaker and weaker at the back - regardless of injuries. It's all well and good saying you want to change the style of play but the goals we've scored this season have typically mainly been from set pieces or headers from Benteke. The only change I see is us looking more flimsy at the back.

My point is we should expect to win more games given players we've signed under him, if we go on a little 3 game run it's nice but I honestly do not think many managers would've struggled to beat Sunderland Stoke and Boro with the players we had at our disposal. I just don't see us pushing on and fulfilling our actual potential under Pardew.

The fact you think this is true is exactly why you feel the way you do about Pardew - completely unrealistic.

We're 11th in the Premier League and just lost away to the champions, who haven't lost at home in OVER A YEAR. Some serious spoilt brats amongst our ranks these days.

The problem with the OP and the other cretins that post this kind of crap is they do so only out of a dislike for AP.Its not football based, they are never to be seen when we win or get a good result as it goes against their agenda. And I say agenda because that is exactly what it is.And that is what I despise about all of them, they are divisive in as much as they would hound out our manager because of their personal dislike of him without consideration of whats best for the football club at this present moment and going forward. That is why they are not genuine supporters imo, they care only for them selves and not the club which is exactly why they are all over a couple of losses with this incessant vomit but are nowhere to be seen when we win a few and play well.If you cant enjoy the good times but continuously soap box the bad you are either a troll or you have an agenda which in this case is of course AP.So when I say fvck off and support someone else,i genuinely mean it.Why should they be welcome on here with nothing but negative spew and only when the opportunity arises, why should the rest of us have to put up with people who would happily drop kick the manager up the Holmesdale Road regardless of how it affects the club and the fans all because of THEIR agenda.I find it offensive and just because its an online forum doesn't make it less so.

The thing is we wasn't even that bad, Leicester were better and deserved the 3 points but the only real difference is they took their chances and we didn't, was not really much different pardew could of done.

If you want to pick faults with anyone then it's the players on the pitch on sat for not taking our chances.

AP is a good fit for where we are as a club right now.

This.

We played well on Saturday, just didn't take our chances. It was just one of those games.

But this was exactly the same arguement that was being deployed as last year when we didn't have Townsend or Benteke on board.

It isn't my view of "success" at all, merely a more appropriate approach for where we are now than talking as though we're Barcelona. For the time being, anyway.

Funnily enough you go on to cite some of the reasons why I said what I said, so perhaps you'd better check that you disagree with me before biting my head off.

And I don't give a twopenny toss what other clubs do because I don't support them.

It appears we see the same shortcomings. However, we clearly disagree on the best route forward. Would you suggest that we did not need to change the playing style? If this is your view then I concur that experimentation is pointless. However, if a change is needed in order to progress the club to the "next level" (for us I guess that would be mid table rather than battling relegation), at what stage do you attempt to change the playing style then? I find myself agreeing with AP strangely enough in that we need to go this route and that it will be transitional since we can't change 2/3rds of the squad in one fell swoop. I am prepared to hold my breath, cross my fingers and give it time. I'd rather we do this than carry on with the old style which will only get us so far as a club. Is there a risk? Of course. Is Pardew the right manager? Spin a coin, but we could do worse.

Or will we be branded as "fake fans" and "bed wetters".

The smugness from some fans was almost as cringeworthy as the smugness from himself after beating stoke Sunderland and Boro.

In the last 31 (yes, 31) games we've won 5 - that includes the 3 mentioned above.

Someone please make a case given our first 11, which genuinely has quality, that that is good enough.

All this "team in transition" is aload of turd as well. When we win games like we did against stoke it's because of the players we have on the pitch and the fact Pardew likes high intensity and power. Besides that he is clearly tactically inept - I thought that even when we were on a good run.

Expecting to get a fair bit of abuse and contemplated saying anything but in fairness I don't really care - some people really need to wake up.

Apart from winning the premier league, and having not lost at home for over 20 games. I'd say, that on paper, yes, they are significantly better than us.

In fact of all the teams that have won the premier league, they can arguably be one that can claim they never 'bought it'.

Now, hypothetically, take that out of the equation, across history, they're not 'that much better than us' but in current terms, yeah they're much better than us.

Didn't we beat them away last season 0-1.
