How is it wrong to show images of people who are healthy and attractive? I don't recall there being many obese people when I was growing up.

Seems to be quite a right-wing rhetoric, which people find unpalatable. I'd say people need to toughen up while others will do all they can to stop anything which could have consequences for the victim in 1 in a million cases.

How do we halt the increase in allergies which result from removing all possible allergens from kids diets, without risk of death? This is for scientists, not politicians.

You raise an important aspect of all this but not quite how you hoped.

The very last people on Earth who should be making decisions on policy are those who are emotionally involved. It complete skews their attitude and makes them biased.
In my 52 years I have known a handful of people with obvious eating disorders and they are without doubt very troubled souls. I can say in all honesty that I doubt that one of them had their condition purely because of advertising. There troubles were much deeper and closer to home.
Making these knee jerk, token policy decisions are no more than political muscle flexing and I think deep down, you know that.

In an opinion piece. Please tell me it's value for money, or it's success pound for pound.

Please also explain why the person in that advert is not 'normal' in your opinion but they are in the Dove advert?

I think my comments need more elaboration. I'm not suggesting anyone is purposefully offensive towards a person or people by the way.
