I am very pleased with this news for the reasons you kindly outlined. Many Hammers I know are expressing the same disappointment at him leaving!

I can deal with speculation that is framed as such. It entered my head that with a collection of big signings may come some exits. However, I don't know anything or know anyone inside the club and have never professed to. As such everything from me is speculation, or I may report something I've read, with the source.

I'm afraid I don't get the "secret source who knows a bloke down the pub, who's cousins, next door neighbours cats vet, treats Alan Pardews mates dog" cos it makes me look good, cobblers. There's a lot of that about during transfer season, so you'll forgive me for being cynical.
