From the article, which dates back to 2013... You carry on.Rely on that and that even bother to read the link from the Guardian debunking it:0
I appreciate its "good enough for you". Don't dispute that. For anyone actually interested in rational analysis, your "evidence" is rationally debunked in the link from the Guardian posted yesterday. ps. I went today and I thought Arsenal were the better side, though we gave a good account of ourselves and were lucky not to draw; comes from having a more open mind that you, perhaps?

The assumption is that the £2 billion cost figure is in fact too low as many in the NHS can't be bothered to even check whether their patients are eligible for free treatment. Do you think it is good for the NHS and the taxpayer to fund health tourism?
Edited by fed up eagle (16 Aug 2015 5.34pm) The link is to the Spectator. The real question should be how much would it cost to administer the charging and recoup money for 'health tourism' (bear in mind some of these people will just be tourists, who are ill or fall ill in the UK). But the actual real cost of health tourism to the UK should be established first, before a decision is made on 'doing something about it'.

It is however sufficient that the government should conduct an independent study into the issue. They've had plenty of time.

Seems that new immigration rules regarding being able to stay in the UK and minimum salary are causing a staffing crisis as nurses leave for private companies so they can exceed the £35k threshold.

I would like to respond to this, especially as I started the thread. However, circumstances are such that I am unable to.

Apparently I am not allowed to ask pertinent questions. Anything anyone says these days can and is called racist. Legaleagle calls you a fascist if you do not give a room to an asylum seeker or indeed move house - apparently that is perfectly reasonable.

The yellow card was for continually badgering posters with the same question across different threads. You are allowed to ask pertinent questions. You're not however allowed to 'troll posters' across threads.

Nick, I appreciate this is in jest, but its bordering on badgering a poster. It is fair enough that Fed Up Eagle has circumstances that may be more important than an internet forum discussion.
