This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako in talks with Palace' by Moose The left-footed Sako can play on either flank or just behind the striker.Think he would actually rather play as a striker.Good team player who works very hard, has terrific pace and can score from 25 yd free kicks.Can certainly score goals. Plenty of eye-catching celebratory dance moves !

The only downside I can see with this move is that he's African, so when AFCON comes about we will be two wingers down. That is however 18 months off so not too big an issue now. Really good, economical acquisition

No. It means we are building a squad with real depth - gone are the days where we have 11 good players and limited quality on the bench. Hopefully it will work and we can keep everyone happy.

Cant be any worse than Jerome Thomas, but then again nobody can be that bad. Very different kettle of fish. Championship team of the year last year, good goal and assist rate, scores at international level.

Would seem to have pace, power, and a great shot on him. Too early to say its an inspired signing, but pretty much risk free. Must have a decent chance of adapting well to the PL over time
