I wonder if we may look at some of the young promising central defenders in the championship three come to mind Lewis Dunk at Brighton (sorry to sware),James Tarkowski from Brentford, Harry Maguire at Hull. The kid at Reading is highly rated..cant remember the name - Hector ???
Yes. Person I spoke to about Hector said he is a towering centre-half who can play in two or three positions - can play in midfield if necessary. Catches the eye with his reading of the game, his coming out with the ball and his passing.Quick, mobile and strong.

I think Daniel Agger is worth a look (won't happen though). Proven premier league centre half, was liverpool best in the position I think but just another one who slipped away under Brendan's Rodgers ludacris transfer dealings.
Agger was Rogers' best centre back IMO. How he thinks Srktel is better I will never know.

Agger is calm, composed can bring the ball out of defence, whereas Skrtel is the archetypal no-nonsence centre-half who is aggressive etc etc.

Would be a brilliant signing for us and would tick all the boxes that we are after. Just won't happen lol.

Barca got the transfer ban, Brøndby made him an offer and the rest was history.

Joleon Lescott? ...would be a very good addition. Furthermore, I think he only has a year left on his contract and there have been at least unconfirmed whispers that he may be available. I wonder, given that there must be a number of our players Pulis might like to bring to WBA (starting with Jedi) if this is not a dark-horse possibility (not likely, not impossible). Ward-Dann-Lescott-Souare and we would have a very serviceable back four.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'please god a cb!!!' by Moose we've been terrific in the window so far but we need another centre-back, happy for Damo and Dann to start for the time being but we need a BPL worthy CB to match the depth that we have in other positions...
