I work around bermondsey / Surrey docks / walworth etc .. never seen a palace shirt ... in fact any kid at school down the walworth rd choosing the nigels would be ' cool ' suicide lol

I worked in Tooley Street and I have seen a palace fan (grown up man) wearing a palace hat. when coming into Rotherithe Station some time back, i did see dude come out of a station wearing the 2013/14 home shirt. Again though these areas are dominated by Millwall. Especially Bermondsey/Rotherithe. Infested with wall lol.

As i said in a previous post, I've never once said Palace are an inner city club. We are located in the south London suburb of south Norwood. Nothing wrong with that.

When i said I have seen a few Palace in New Cross/Peckham, it could mean that they could just be in the area for whatever reason and don't even live there. When it come to these places as well as places such as Walworth, Camberwell you have the majority of the support

If it is one thing i agree with other post posted is that most of South London is dominated by both Arsenal and Chelsea. You go to places like Wandsworth and it feels like chelsea city. Both us and Wall being the most supported clubs based in south London.. Never met a Charlton fan in South London central. Well certainly not in the London Borough of Lambeth anyways.

Recent survey of CFC STH showed the borough of Wandsworth with the most followed by Fulham and Hammersmith then Chelsea and kensington .. Bromley was also in the top tier probably down to it being a place that for whatever reason a lot of Battersea / wandsworth families moved out to ..

I'm not gonna lie to you now, I'd rather The Palace be seen as a Surrey club (even though we're not) than the fact that we're only 6 miles down the road than you poor white trash.
If that means us being a Surrey club then Surrey me up!

White trash. What does that mean?

I don't think I've ever met a Charlton fan either! Tell a lie, one at school and one on a site about 12 years ago. Apart from tht nothing. Strange club. Where do they all reside/work/socialise? Lived and worked around Orpington and Bromley for years and those areas are full of palace. Quite a few Millwall as well these days as a lot are moving out. More than when I was living there. Never see any Charlton fans though.

Infested is a silly term - its a staunch chelsea manor .

i think West Ham could be a future main rival. Their a weird club. Of all the London clubs' fans I engaged with apart from Mllwall and Charlton rats, West Ham seem to hate us.
I've worked in West Ham areas like Romford and Barking and faced abuse iv'e had to defend Zaha, Luka, our cheerleaders and Crystal Palace in general from the spammers. It's a weird obssessive snide hatred of Palace from their fans.
Spurs and Barnet friendly rivalry and Arsenal just banter and Chelsea indifferent (although I hate them).

Big up the Palace!!!!

I can't understand why anyone of sound mind would hate a football club

It's the world we live in Midlands. Disappointing though it is, there appears to be a sub-culture of hate driven by social media.

News today that 2,000 school children each day are being referred for mental care. Says it all. Very sad.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Hatred in football pre-dates social media. I can't remember how many decades ago our fans used to sing:

"We hate Nottingham Forest, we hate Liverpool too,
We hate Manchester United, but Palace, we love you."

And thanks, Midlands, for your post. I had just been working up the energy to say something similar.
