All this talk about bad feeling and non-contact between Palace and Cardiff, it's not the way top business men behave. Cardiff will take the best offer and I hope it's from Palace as this man will, with the current Palace defence, make Palace almost invicible. Blimey he is that good.

Harry Rednapp to defensive coach ! What was he smoking when he wrote that. ? Also Shawcross was never and will never be International class. Always just a heartbeat away from a red card.

Do you honestly think anyone would read that comic masterpiece and take it seriously? Harry didn't contribute anything to those careers mentioned, save giving Rio his debut (after the West Ham youth coaching set up had turned him into a brilliant prospect), shortly after which he left. Sol Campbell and Ledley King were just inherited players he managed (yep, good players but was Iain Dowie a genius because AJ scored 20 goals in the Premiership?) and Michael Dawson hardly set the world alight under Harrry's management. He was largely thought of as a decent but a bit unreliable mid-table Premiership player. Pulis, meanwhile, rescued Shawcross' from big club anonymity and directly turned him into an international. Harry may be many things, a good motivator among them, but I don't think anyone has ever confused him for a great coach. The best you can say for this article is that it probably meets the word count required in the freelancer's contract.

In addition, the success of a player should not only be measured in terms of International career. Given the profile of clubs Harry has managed and the contrast to Stoke and Palace then Pulis will always come out second in this type of pishing contest. I wonder if Bwin know more than anyone else and they are trying to swing the betting in their favour. These companies always seem to get it right.

I'm not sure if Caulker and Cresswell were playing but we did beat Cardiff 2-0 and 3-0 last season and Ipswich 5-0 the season before. They might not be as good as they hype.

I can get hacked off missing out on some players but anyone stupid enough to sign for QPR I wouldn't think was the sort we'd want at Palace. Miserable club, miserable manager, no principles anywhere in sight. Can't imagine anyone with a brain would choose that set up as an employer.

QPR have agreed a fee with Cardiff, but still down to Caulker to agree terms... so fingers crossed?

Always feared the fee was a little strong for us. SP and co will get the right man for the club at the right price.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |
