Gotta admire his work-rate but chances like yesterday where he should have netted, also give the defence breathing space. We need a goalscorer !

Forget Jerome, we should be talking about signing Chamakh up for another season.

Keep him. Without a doubt. For the way he messes up opposition defences, holds up the play, covers so much ground, and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Give him a contract. He may even start scoring then. Like Jason Puncheon

It wasn't really until the Chelsea game that I realised where Jerome's value is. Ok, he doesn't score a whole lot but he's big, strong and pacy and he's capable of seriously disrupting defences, offering scoring opportunities for others. Let's not forget, a player who can cause havoc in front of goal AND score on a regular basis is like gold dust and would sure as hell be well out of our price range. Very, very useful player to have and we should make every effort to get him on board permanently in the summer.
If Dwight had played in place of Cameron for every game we would probably have him as a top scorer with 6 or seven goals by now. I also feel we would be possibly 6 or 7 points lighter. CJ is not about goals. Strange for a striker indeed but proof is in the 37 point pudding. Agree with this 100%. Who are we to doubt TP and his plan of attack. He is a miracle worker.

Jerome, as has seen said earlier should be signed dependant on price. Whenever he goes off, our tempo drops dramatically, can't score but does everything else well. If he could score he would be out of our price range.

I'm guessing that is roughly how TP reads it too. CJ is not about goals. Strange for a striker indeed but proof is in the 37 point pudding. Nailed it Kerms, although Im not sure if Gayle does have more goals in him than Jerome. I watched him yesterday chase the ball as they passed from one defender to another, never once did he get it, but it totally unsettled their system and is huge asset for us. For those here who just don't get it... roll the ball out to the defender who has to make a forward pass and apply no pressure on him and see how many times out of 10 he is successful. Do the same experiment again with Jerome chasing them down - lots of misplaced passes and defenders going out of position to avoid him. Unsettles the whole team. He's big, strong and very quick - easily the quickest in our team and a real handful for defences. For this alone he is worth it. I would LOVE to see him bang in a couple and get his confidence up. Should we progress in this league then this will need to be reviewed but for where we are and the team we need to be, hes a big part of our success for me. As with his shot vs Chelsea, saturdays miss virtually worked against the laws of Physics, there is no way he shoud have missed it. Could hit the preverbial Cows ar$e with a banjo yet, his work rate is second to none, he chases everything, tries and tries and tries. Where would we have been this season without him, breaking down the other teams?
