How can he be wrong? they had 73 per cent possession with 20 odd shots on goal ffs take your rose tinted specs off we got off lightly again. We can not draw our way to safety we actually need to try and win some games.

Jesus what game were you lot watching

Sorry, what game were you watching? They had 8 shots on target and we both hit the bar and missed 1-on-1's.

Sorry me bad they did actually have 21 shots at goal cause you don't shot anywhere else 8 on target compared to 8 shots 1 on target yer we deserved all three points didn't we clowns

You don't seem to have the emotional maturity for football, let alone Palace.

I would suggest curling might be a better option for you

So when facts are aimed against your statements you resort to slander nice one mate keep up the good work cant wait to read your reply to that

Sorry but when such knee jerk, dribbling imbecility that flies so far in the face of what actually went on is displayed it can only be that you have the emotional capabilities to handle upset of an 8 year old girl - its about the only conclusion anyone can draw

Oh and it would be libel NOT slander btw - just in case you want to take me to court

Complete and utter bollocks how can you post that as a defence to your post is beyond me.

"Newcastle had failed to score in eight of their 11 previous Premier League games and had scored just once in their last five fixtures at St James' Park "

playing for the nil-nil wasn't necessary or wise

Also 9th in the table for a reason,
A good side in front of 50,000 fans is never a game we were going to dominate

Only 9th because of Loic Remys goals. Was also a lot of empty seats in their end and I have never known Geordies be so quiet inside and outside the ground. Whilst it was gut wrenching to lose in injury time on reflection I actually thought they deserved 3 points. Speroni was excellent. My judgement was somewhat impaired by the view, we were so far up in the clouds the players were hard to identify. Much better performance than against Sunderland and I actually think we will beat Chelski.

I agree with all of the above apart from the Chelsea bit.

Our plan seems to revolve around denying the opposition for as long as possible and then try to sneak a goal during a brief period of possession.

It may have worked yesterday, but we don't have a goalscorer, once that period is over we revert to mere defending.

It's hard to envisage a change of tactics now, so we will have to rely on other results being in our favour because the way we are playing doesn't win matches.

Totally disagree.
What's ridiculous to form an opinion based on our current league position and goalscoring record ?

What's ridiculous to form an opinion based on our current league position and goalscoring record - and of course the standard of the opposition ?

Nothing, provided you actually do that. We have no hope of getting something playing at home to another team in our division ? Ridiculous. How much hope would Ipswich, or Reading or Watford have against them at home ? Some, but not much.

Everyone has some chance in this league and therefore some hope.

You may not have, but it literally can't be based on goal scoring and league position as that doesn't make sense. You're just incredibly negative and miserable - it's not the same thing.

if you are not just stirring it up and genuinely believe we have a chance of getting even a point against Chelsea, you need your bumps read mate.
