Hoof Hearted 23 Feb 14 10.57am

One fat oaf shouting the abuse had so much hatred in his eyes I feared his head would explode.

I'm guessing the money being thrown was a poignant protest at the insane wages Rooney earns, rather than trying to injure him.

Whatever... it brought unnecessary attention to our club and not the right sort.

Whoever was responsible hopefully will be identified by CCTV.

Very embarrassing.

Also, if you were one of the knobs in the Arthur today (row 25) who spent the whole game stood up making aeroplane gestures and shouting to the Manure fans like hard men, then please grow up. There are limits and making fun of a fatal air crash isn't amusing; but watching you at previous games leads me to believe you come from the shallow end of the gene pool so it is perhaps understandable. Oh, and we all know you would be very quiet if there weren't a load of stewards in the way.

Anyway, I'm sure the coin throwing was just from pathetic hangers on who have no connection to the 'real' HF, who will hopefully openly condemn the idiocy.

Chukkafukka why don't you f*** off, was ok for utd fans to sing Cantona songs and wave a Cantona banner, cnuts the lot of them, but you would rather dig our fans out. Bet you couldn't wait to get home and bitch about it yet said nothing at the game.

oh really? cantona kicked a bloke who frankly deserved it. nobody died.

Suggest you google Paul Nixon.

I'm well aware of Paul Nixon. Cantona didn't kill him, prattish fans did. If you recall, the original post was about prattish fans.

Songs about David Moyes' daughter being a slut was uncalled for and brought shame and embarrassment to the club.

Agree completely. I felt sorry for Moyes - not sure what he's done to deserve such abuse. This football club is rapidly going down hill - success on the pitch has begun to attract the wrong sort of fans.

^^ This. Shameful behaviour today. We have the best fans? You're having a laugh!

oh my god..
I honestly cant belive what im reading!!! If people are so easily offended a football match is not the place to be. Im not condoning coin throwing but we are not the first club to do it and wo nt be the last!! As for some people "feeling sorry for moyes" you really need to grow a pair. Im sure his bank account every week will keep him from losing any sleep over the working class palace fan having getting out sone frustration by having a pop at him!! And yes we do have the best fans. Grow up !!!

I'm intrigued by the concept that a football match has to be some type of primitive baiting pit for working class numpties to vent their rage against the system and represent their 'tribe' by aggressive and abusive behaviour? I would think being the 'best fans' would include correct and decent behaviour along with making lots of noise and supporting the team no matter what.

A little banter is good fun, but pelting people going about their employment because they are a) are high profile, b) you don't like the team the play for, or c) you side isn't winning...isn't the sign of a good fan, but someone who can't take it when things get a bit tough.....making Selhurst Park an intimidating place to come to doesn't include moronic behaviour that could see the owners fined.

Tactless and unnecessary jibes about Moyes daughter because of some alleged issue with the 'darling of the terraces' Zaha really is pathetic and lacking in good grace that would only seem to spur the other side on, and devalue our own good image

Hopefully the perpatrators of these stupid acts will be caught on CCTV and get their just reward.... If you thing I am over-reacting than think about how today some papers are reporting on the moronic acts and not the brilliant display from the Holmesdale end

Throwing coins is bad and making airplane gestures is a disgrace but hurling abuse at moyes is something that made me laugh and why the f*** would anyone feel sorry for him, it's a football match and it's bound to happen - I'm sorry but that post is just cringey and just shows the type of fan base that comes on these message boards at the moment.

One thing I think is embarrassing is calling the mancs "manure". People were getting mocked on twitter for using that name, that's the type of word a 12 year old would use.

I'm all for not over stepping the line in terms of coin throwing (but it doesn't make us look that different from any other teams as they have all done it, everywhere, so calm the f*** down). And I completely agree that plane gestures are sad and pathetic but people need to watch at home if they're gonna get offended by calling moyes daughter a slut ffs, it's f***ing banter get over it

Exactly - we used to be a nice family club, before success attracted the more yobbish element back. Personally I don't want my club dragged down and at the very least fined because of this sort of behaviour. If you want to be moronic and throw coins, then go down to The New Den where you'd no doubt be very welcome.

Being recorded on cctv, on TV, probably having to show up and produce ID every Saturday at 3pm away from any football ground and having to hand over my passport whenever England are away so I'll not be able go and use it anywhere puts me off this.

When at any point did i say that i threw or thought throwing coins was good? I was merely stating that if some of our fans can't handle a bit of chanting directed are our opposition whether it is aimed at moyes daughter or not then maybe supporting a club in south norwood is the wrong idea and maybe you should go down the amex. Dont start telling me to go down to millwall!!!

Pathetic and a real embarrassment. Throw a coin or mock the Munich air disaster and you deserve to get banned for life. Hopefully these idiots will never be allowed back.

Go and support Milwall if you want to act like scum.

The Queen supports Crystal Palace. Perhaps she'll buy the club then legitimately all the money in England shall be ours. Plus all the swans.

The coins were thrown from that corner of the Holmesdale End where the HF stand - so how can you say it wasn't members of the HF? Do you know who threw them?

Don't call me a t***. It's offensive.

I have a season ticket in the front of block C, so was pretty well placed to see where the coins were coming from.

And I never mentioned the HF, you did. Get over yourself.
