I cant make it this Saturday as I have to work but my boss can make it he is a Man U fan has been since 2000 so a pretty long time so he is taking my seat dont see a problem with it

If your a season ticket holder then you can sell the game back to the club! Now if you really like your boss you can give him the money to buy a ticket in the away end!! And a palace fan can sit in your seat! What a nice chap you are!!!

I dont like to make a profit off of friends so I just gave it to him he promissed he would only wear his scarf and not a top so its fine

Have been in home ends a few times lol wasn't supposed to be there either and was soon ejected by ole bill or attacked


Loads of Palace fans were in the Emirates so I dont see any problem as long as they dont give it the large.

There are sites selling tickets not to mention touts

For all of the London matches, and I include Moan U here, there has been talk of away fans in the home ends but I’m yet to see any which either means that they have been respectfully quite or there were not any near to me. I’m not sure I care who anyone supports so long as they don’t bother me. My mate, next to me, is a bit of a traditionalist and would thump any away fans within his vicinity though. Each to their own.

It is very hard to be too critical as I shall be at the Fulham match, hopefully in the away end but failing that the neutral end and if all else fails in the home end. My mate will be with me and won’t see this as a contradiction! The last time we went in the home end together was Coventry in 2004, there wasn’t much to cheer about until near the end, at which point we realised there were quite a few Palace fans in the home end.

There were a few of us in the Coventry end that day. Where I was sitting everyone was really pleasant, mainly middle aged folk so we had a nice chat about the season. A couple of other mates got stuck in with the hardcore lot below, who quickly clocked who they were... At half time though one of our mates managed to blag us into the Palace end by saying our diabetic Dad was in there needing his insulin - not sure how it worked, but it did, and it was all good in the end!

1990 final when Wright scores the first of his two - you can see them on the tv - many hundreds of Palace fans jumped up and went wild and they were in the United end.

These 'home fans only' youngsters today just wouldn't have survived would they in our day

Allowing a Manchester United fan to sit in the home end is somewhat akin to inviting a burgler round your house to sit on the sofa.

Its just something you should not do. The Owners of the club have said No Manchester United in the homes ends and all Palace fans should respect that.

Reading a lot of what's been said on here I'm actually disappointed by a section of our support buying tickets for glory hunting mates in the homes is c-ntish and if it does kick off be it on there heads.
I'm pleased our owners are not letting clubs take the piss at Selhurst which happened a lot in the 90s and was embarrassing ,I now know why we are known as the Nigel's and the laughable suggestion we could sit side by side with away fans is the most deluded nonsense I've read on here this week .it won't happen a 100 years of football have not changed this .

No. Back in the old days, there was no segregation and the crowd was made up of fans of both teams (and neutrals) standing or sitting together. Then the dark days came along, people started fighting rather than showing respect to their fellow but opposing fans, and segregation was introduced.

It'll never go back to the non-segregated days, because there will always be a sizable minority of fans who prefer the confrontation to the sport.

Would you really want mixed stands? It would completely kill the atmosphere created from noise and chants and remove a lot of the humorous banter and songs that go between sets of fans. Some people go to footie on their own - are they going to sing and celebrate as loud if they're amongst opposing fans? Probably not. Would not be a good move but will never happen anyway. Plus being sat right next to a ManUre to$$er when they score would just be bloody horrible.

The Whitehorse Lane terrace up until 1980 was mixed. It kicked off occasionally but not that often. Great place it was . My favourite part of the ground. Cracking atmosphere especially the night games.
