In case you hadn't noticed, the length of the thread is mainly down to the amount off p1ss taking of your idea/concept. Whilst nobody is being homphobic at all, there are a million things that I think we'd all agree are needed more by the club than an openly gay player. As one poster previously put, sod the wonderful luvvie feeling the club would get, what about the poor git in the middle of the pitch, coming out for you satisfaction and getting serially abused day in day out for it. I'm sure he'd be eternally grateful that the club had some positive news in the footballing world.

I was thinking how cool it would be to have the first openly gay Prem League footballer. Maybe even two. I think we are uniquely placed to live with the consequences, a tight-knit supportive club and group of fans, based in a highly cosmopolitan place. And we don't give a monkey's what anyone else thinks. Any views? I am sure there will be a range. I am certain Palace have had many gay players. Like the other teams in the Prem I bet Palace already have at least two now. They just need the bravery to come out foe their own sake.

If possible we should go for a gay ginger black muslim disabled player with learning difficulties.
I thought Puncheon was one of those....

Kudos to the OP - intentional or not this has been a hilarious thread, with some great replies. But to add to an existing reply, how about we: Get a good striker And then worry about the sexuality of the players ?? I couldn't care less where any of them stick their old chap (as long as the recipient is over 18 and keen on the idea) if they're delivering in the red and blue.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

I am certain Palace have had many gay players. My suspects are Gerry Queen, Jim Cannon, Roger Hynd, and Marcus Bent.

Oh, and MK Dons sound like they could be a bunch of guys going round forcing themselves on younger lads. The funniest comment on here ever.
