As long as he doesn't "do a Sol" and quit after two games when he realises the standard he's agreed to play at.
You obviously think our level is high, so you actually "dis"agree.

If we get him signed up, there's going to be a few thousand extra Palace fans per game buying tickets.
It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. - John Bostock (Nov 2007) |

What makes me laugh is, if someone just suggested this, a thousand of you would ripped that guy to shreds 'wages'. Get real' etc, but that initial link gagged em' all i guess.

He is a player I might have liked to have been signed 5 or 6 years ago in his prime, but now??? He's 37, he's not the quickest midfielder now and he's been out of football for two years...... is it really worth the risk????!!!

He's been training and keeping fit with Ajax over the last year or two apparently. Would be a corking signing for a variety of reasons, aside from his undoubted talent on the pitch, his guidance for others off it would be bonza. I'd love this to come off.

Plus the "risk" will be mitigated by the fact the very least he'll offer will be inspiring the youngsters, excite the fans and raise the profile of the club!

I'm a bit worried that he doesn't actually know who we are. Maybe someone showed him a picture of the team and he thinks he's signing for Barca?

He's was at the training ground today
As Danny Butterfield wheeled away, arms aloft in celebration of his third goal – an expression of delight and astonishment on his face – a man seated beside me in the stands turned to his young son and told him that he would remember this moment for the rest of his life. I will too. |
