Wisbech Fair enough but in the interests of balance, I also remember millions of people being duped into believing the Trump/Russian election interference hoax spun by Hilary Clinton and other democrats after her defeat by Trump in 2016. There are clear parrells. Clinton said for years that Trump’s 2016 victory was unfair and stolen claiming Trump won by colluding with Russian operatives and Putin. The false, manufactured claim was the basis of a lengthy Justice Department investigation that hobbled Trump’s presidency but concluded rather meekly that there was no evidence of any collusion and the whole thing was a crock of sh1t. My point is that neither party comes to dinner with clean hands and in the murky world of politics they're both as bad as one another. Please don't look at politics with one closed eye.

Whether or not Clinton’s campaign was fatally damaged by the Russian misinformation campaign will never be known. What is obvious is that you are another whose judgement has been infected by Trump bs! The Mueller investigation resulted in several prosecutions so definitely was not manufactured. There was interference, which all the security services knew about. Knowing and proving in a court of law being different things. They know that Trump cannot be trusted and represents a danger both to the USA and world peace. The claims made by Trump that he was “totally exonerated “ are a barefaced lie. It’s not what Mueller concluded at all. He said there was not sufficient proof. Not that there was no evidence. Or in other words a web of plausible deniability had been woven. He was further stymied by Barr announcing that a sitting President could not be indicted anyway. So Mueller sent all his files to secure storage in New York, out of the reach of any agency controlled by Trump. That is where it is believed they currently reside. Whether they will yet play a role in this election remains to be seen, but don’t be too surprised if a bombshell or two come Trump’s way before November.

Still nothing on the January 6th pipe bombs. I look forward to a Trump presidency because hopefully these events are properly answered.

Wisbech Let's leave it there. With respect, you're impossible to have a balanced reasoned debate with and seem only to see what you want to see. I'm willing to call out bad behaviour whereever i see it, Left or Right and don't take politics too personally. No hard feelings old chap but I wont be engaging you again unless it's football related.

You might think it’s funny but unfortunately it’s actually quite serious when large numbers of people actually believe this kind of thing I find it very difficult to be anything other than extremely worried about the possibility of another 4 years of Trump. 60% of Americans and half the free world. That’s quite a number who know less than you !

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

You are by far not the first to decide not to respond any more after your claims have been shredded as spurious. Exactly the same excuses being given, that’s it’s all my fault, when the truth is that none of you actually have an answer when faced with the reality of Trump’s true character. There is no “reasoned and balanced” debate possible on someone is not reasonable and balanced. You either recognise that, or you don’t. There is no room for compromise with anything to do with him.

Twice? I have been here for many years. Interrupted only by the occasional sabbatical. Just so you know, I welcome not having to bother with many of the responses as it means I don’t feel any need to correct any of the, often personal, accusations that are made. It leaves me free to comment on other posts if I wish to and with the tone of many here being counter to my own beliefs, and often with established facts, you can be sure that will continue. I will respond. You don’t have to read. Some may. All personal decisions. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (25 Jul 2024 5.19pm)

No element of hyperbole here. He's someone you don't like which doesn't make him Mao or Pol Pot.
