Can anyone tell me if we are going to get a better trade deal with Japan now we aren't part of the largest trading block in the world. They started discussions in March 2013, and still have 2 years, (followed by) 29+ rubber stamps, and a whole range of extremely sensitive economic issues to settle. This is not ratified, it's not in-force, and you've swallowed the "EU uber alles" progress report on (as ever) glacial trade talks dressed up as "FTA win - BrexiTrump lose!!". How stupidly gullible must you be? But yeah, can't wait to enjoy the freedom of movement and relocate to Japan! And think of the huge net annual contributions economic giant Japan will bring to the EU budget! Oh, wait. A deal with the EU that doesn't involve mass migratory flows of people and money? How is that even possible?! Lol, EUrocucks.

You missed out the bit where, just as with the Caribbean tax havens, you can buy yourself a passport (and hence your wonderful EU "citizenship" through Malta. Your attempts to infer that Malta is no more a tax haven than the UK is hilarious, and the Germans agree. you can 'buy' citizenship in many EU coujntries including the UK. Germany are going through an election process and that throws up all sorts of finger pointing to get attention, particularly at smaller countries who have less resources to defend their position. Farage and Johnson were touting the UK as a low corporation tax base, so yes the UK is also interested in becoming a 'tax haven'. You are clueless about what a tax haven really is. All countries within the EU follow the banking directive where information is regularly exchanged. The fact that one country has a lower taxation policy than another doesn't mean it's a 'tax haven' otherwise out of the 28 EU countries 27 would be 'tax havens' as one would have the highest taxation rate. Tax havens promote secrecy for their clients and are based outside of the EU. Examples are Isle of Man, Jersey an Gibralta. Oh wait, aren't they British jurisdictions???? You seem as clueless as the other guy mat who was so naive he didn't even understand what QE meant or how it affected a currency. You should stop reading the daily mail and express, then you might realise how gullible you have been. Right, back to my yacht now for a nice cruise Tax? What's that? Edited by europalace (07 Jul 2017 7.04am) As you clearly haven't read any of the facts about the tax situation in Malta, and clearly do not wish to embrace the reality of it, let me explain. In Malta, corporation tax is nominally set at 30% but corporations can take advantage of rebates which mean that their final tax is set around 5%. The average corporation tax level in the EU is around 22%. That, is what the furore is about and your protestations that Malta is not a tax haven appear very different from the evidence.

Edited by europalace (07 Jul 2017 7.04am) Wrong. Austria (not a tax haven). Malta (a tax haven). Cyprus (a tax haven). I linked to articles from two German sources, and the Guardian. But yeah, "daily mail, innit". Defensive, much? How could your wonderful EU allow such a terrible thing, hmm? I mean it's kind of ironic that your EU idol Juncker is himself guilty of pushing aggressive tax avoidance whilst "drunk on power" in tax haven Luxembourg. Perhaps you should take those signed Juncker posters down from your bedroom wall.

I see everything is sweetness and light in the EU heartland of Hamburg.
