Wow, you seem to be a classic keyboard warrior looking for a punch up. Well, sorry to disappoint you but I've got a very nice life and no time for people who are clearly jealous of that like yourself. I detected from your original reply that you were fishing for an argument. Well you won't get one from me. Unlike yourself, I actually live or have lived in the countries I comment on, while all you have as information is the media. You decided to denigrate a country that you have little or no knowledge about and clearly were aiming at me as a national of that country. Well, I'm not as I stated and that's clearly burst your balloon. Tough titties for you. You are clearly frustrated by the mire your own country has put itself in. You should also go on a finance 101 course as you clearly don't even understand the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. Looks like your fishing expedition has ended up with you losing all of your gear because you didn't know how to use it. How does the saying go in the UK, 'all the gear and no idea'! Edited by europalace (06 Jul 2017 5.22pm) You have a massive chip on your shoulder and cannot back up your statements with fact.

You have been shown to be clueless, your comments about a country you've probably never even visited let alone lived in. Look, you're making yourself look very naive, I suggest you comment on a subject you may know even a little about, if that's at all possible. Candy taken from baby, nothing else left of interest.

I posted articles from websites stating that the members of EU were concerned that Malta was a tax haven. You are in denial.

Posting links in isolation is a classic sign of no knowledge on the subject. Malta fully complies with the EU financial and banking directives. Those pointing fingers have high corporation tax rates and are fighting to get elected in countries such as Germany. As you say, there are 'concerns' but no facts. I rest my case and your search for a fight is a fruitless exercise. Go and live in a country before commenting on it to someone who already lives there.

So what you are saying is that because you live in Malta, you have intimate access to all financial transactions made in or through the country and can confirm, because you live there, that it isn't a tax haven? Your argument is ridiculous.

Malta's financial services offer companies a full range of corporate services as found in the UK or any other large economy and also wealth management in the same way for individuals, again services that can also be found in the UK. Corporation tax is lower in Malta than the UK but so are several other countries. Using the term 'tax haven' is a misnomer because the UK offers corporation tax levels lower than Germany for example, so the UK could be seen as a 'tax haven' also in that respect. Personal income tax levels are lower in Malta than the UK and several other countries but the country doesn't have massive infrastructure to support. I see you're quoting directly from the glossy tax haven adverts. You missed out the bit where, just as with the Caribbean tax havens, you can buy yourself a passport (and hence your wonderful EU "citizenship" through Malta. Your attempts to infer that Malta is no more a tax haven than the UK is hilarious, and the Germans agree.
