Todays first download is a set by Robert Plant & The SSS that was recorded at the recent Electric Picnic Festival, Stradbelly, Ireland on the 31st August 203. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the set and it sounds great. I think that the recording levels are too low on this one.. so you will need to turn the speakers up a bit... but its all there and it's a wicked set with some of RP's solo work as well as a helping of Led Zep material as well.. If you like Robert Plant - then this is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by Vampire Weekend that was recorded at this years Optimus Alive Festival in Portual on the 12th July 2013. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. VW have been doing the rounds on the festival front this year - I've previouly posted this years sets at : Coachella, Glastonbury, Red Rocks Colorado, Lollapalooza and this one - they've been promoting their album "Modern Vampires Of The City" (which I've also posted) - If you like Vampire Weekend then I thoroughly recommend this bootleg.... Todays extra download is the first bootleg or album that I've posted by this band. They are called Blue Murder and this is a show recorded in Tokyo, Japan in August 1989. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and it sounds fantastic. This band rock - big time.... and they are having a good time - it seems lost on the Japanese audience who seem as quiet as the Highbury library... This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. This is a wicked show and if it seems familiar - thats because it's been posted before... but the previous version was incomplete. This has two extra tracks and is the complete FM broadcast of the show. If you like Massive Attack this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set by Cactus that was recorded in New York in 1971 for WLIR-FM radio. The exact date isn't listed on the artwork and wasnt on the notes I saw. It doesn't really matter - the music is what counts and that is a great recording - wicked sound. This band featured bass playerTim Bogert and drummer Carmine Appice - before they were joined by Jeff Beck and formed Beck, Bogert & Appice. Cactus released 3 albums before they split up in 1972; and in 2006 they reformed and are still going today.... If you like Cactus or BBA - then grab this one... this is thoroughly recommended.....
