If Lampard or Howe we’re going to be our next manager, I’m certain there would have been an announcement already as they’re both free agents.

The fact that neither has signed tells me that we’re going to make a move for someone who is already tied down to a contract and therefore negotiations take longer,

I think the reason we haven't heard anything yet is because nobody fancies it, and why would they? It's an almost impossible task.

We're a London Premier League club with a full summer, two transfer windows and money in the bank freed up by losing overpaid, non-contributing players.

It's a tough job, but it's so rare that a Premier League job, that isn't a huge club, comes up without them halfway through a season staring down the barrel of relegation. There's going to be a queue around the block for this.

Surely the far more logical reason is we're considering managers who already have a job?

If the whole "he already has a job" thing is true. How would you feel about Mourinho?
More realistically, here are the odds.

What about Joachim Low to continue the ex international manager trend?

If we haven’t appointed a manager in the next few weeks It wouldn’t surprise me if we re enstate Roy on a month to month contract

Wow this is a real eye opener of some amazing names odds to the Palace job. It really does go to show as soon as there is a managers position available every Tom, Dick and Harry is linked. I bet Steve is having nightmares and losing sleep and licking his lips over this group.. Surprisingly No Roy Hodgson

Christophe Galtier, Claudio Ranieri, Nuno Santo, David Moyes,
Laurent Blanc, Lee Bowyer, Roy Keane,, Roberto Martinez
Harry Redknapp, Mauricio Pochettino to name a few.

I hope you are right but there is talk of a £5m compensation for Brrnley I don't see us paying that.

I would like Benitez but from all of the realistic candidates Dyche has been my man since Pardew left.

According to Wiki, he has one year left on his contract. According to The Times, he is on £3.5 million. I suspect that any compensation would be roughly half of that but who knows what is in his contract?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Let's hope he has a yearning for South London

If we haven't appointed a manager in the next two weeks the Americans should sack Parish as the prime role of a chairman is forward planning.

Having said that I'm sure that Parish isn't stupid enough to be put in that position
