I am sure it would have appealed to his ego; however, I suspect he also saw the opportunity to make money from the materials - similar to pretty much everything he does in the political world.

I’m sure you would accept a technicality for you or yours so don’t come all the sanctimonious claptrap. Trump is again exonerated and you can’t handle that he’s innocent. He’s coming and he will MAGA BS! He is no more exonerated over this than he was by Mueller. That’s just Trumpspin. The case won’t proceed because of a technicality, so the facts won’t be examined and a verdict reached. Very different from being tried, found not guilty and thus exonerated. I hope that if he fails to become President, or in 2029 when he cannot be, that this will be revisited, the technicalities overcome and justice pursued. Either via a successful appeal or starting again. By that time the mood will be very different and the desire to see him face the courts very strong. Although it is also possible that mercy will be on offer in return for some humility. What chance of the latter?

Dan Wooton and Lawrence Fox were both fired because Fox said he wouldn't shag some media hag.....He claimed what he said was satire. You know what, it didn't matter, he was fired. I find it wholly unacceptable that people get fired for this stuff but there you go. Plenty of us said it on Hol at the time....Not WE however. The double standards are on full display. The BBC isn't an organisation worth its funding nor position. As stated if Aaronovitch had said this about Biden his feet wouldn't have touched the ground.....Not that I would have supported him being fired....Fully criticised, warned perhaps, but not fired. Remember WE defending Fox on here like he has Aaronovitch?....No, because he didn't give a damn. He'll defend Aaronovitch and call his comment satire only because it suits his politics not because of any principle. Does he actually have any principles other than self serving ones.....I doubt it. There is simply no equivalence between what Fox and Aaronovitch did and those who try to pretend otherwise are being deliberately disingenuous at best. Fox made obviously misogynistic remarks openly on air, and was censored by Ofcom, after an investigation. Claiming later they were simply innocent pieces of fun is just an excuse. He has a history:- Aaronovitch wrote on X about the Supreme Court decision to grant immunity to a President and used an extreme example to emphasise the point he was making. He wasn’t criticising or denigrating anyone. He was criticising a Court ruling.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The RNC conference kicked off last night! Thought it was this podium address by Amber Rose that was the most impactful of the night! A perfect mechanism to address the younger generation through her 23M followers.

Strange that your bias knows no bounds.

A special prosecutor, appointed by Trump and widely believed to be making political remarks, did. I think everyone should face justice. As I said it is very possible mercy will be on offer. Somehow though ai doubt Trump would accept it. It’s not his style.
